  • Patent number: 12003926
Abstract: An exemplary hearing system that is configured to assist a user in hearing includes an in-the-ear (ITE) component configured to fit at least partially within an ear canal of the user while the hearing system is worn by the user, a first sensor electrode provided on a surface of the ITE component and configured to contact, while the hearing system is worn by the user, outer ear tissue of the user, and a second sensor electrode configured to be located, while the hearing system is worn by the user, at an entrance to or outside of the ear canal of the user. The first sensor electrode and the second sensor electrode may be configured to be used to detect a physiological attribute of the user while the hearing system is worn by the user. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11974891
Abstract: A method is provided for producing a dental prosthesis from a blank using a CAD/CAM device, wherein the blank consists partially of base material and partially of tooth material, and a boundary surface between these materials is formed as a wave, the wave crests and wave valleys of which alternate with each other along the outer periphery of the blank. The apex of each wave crest extends substantially radially with respect to the blank. The CAD/CAM device fixes the position of a retention part, which serves to fasten the prosthesis to the alveolar crest of a patient, in particular of an external telescope, of a cover of a bar, or of an abutment in the prosthesis in such a way that it passes through the boundary surface. The retention part is fastened by means of gluing or incorporation by polymerisation.

  • Publication number: 20070249472
Abstract: Disclosed is an exercise pole (1) designed for athletes such as walkers, roller skaters, or on-road cross-country skiers. Said exercise pole (1) comprises an elongate pole body (2), at one end (12) of which two wheels (41, 42) are mounted that allow the exercise pole (1) to be moved in a directed rolling manner. The wheels (41, 42) are equipped with a return stop (8) that allows the wheel (41, 42) to be rotated in the direction of travel (L) while blocking the same counter to the direction of travel (L) such that pushing off in a forward direction is made possible. The fact that the inventive exercise pole (1) is in permanent contact with the ground allows the athlete to make smoother and more flowing movements while providing him or her with a greater sense of safety.
