  • Patent number: 10005268
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the continuous production of laminates made of at least two fiber bands made of fibers which are embedded unidirectionally in a plastic material matrix. Likewise, the invention relates to laminates which are produced in this way and can have a shape memory. The laminates according to the invention are used for local reinforcement of injection molded parts.

  • Patent number: 9752449
Abstract: An annulus filler, mounted to a rotor disc of a gas turbine engine and bridging the gap between two adjacent blades attached to the rotor disc, is disclosed. The annulus filler, formed from a polymer matrix composite material, includes an outer lid, defining an airflow surface for air drawn through the engine in an axial airflow direction, and a support structure, connectable to the rotor disc, to support the rear of the lid on the rotor disc. The support structure has two support walls extending from opposing lateral sides of the lid to an attachment strap for receiving a hook on the rotor disc, the attachment strap bridging the support walls. Under centrifugal loads, the opposing support walls resiliently deform. Each support wall has a concave rear edge. Each rear edge has a first curved section, a second curved section and a substantially straight section therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20120187010
Abstract: A biaxially oriented polypropylene film with at least two perforated lines is described, which run parallel to one another and are located at a maximum interval of 10 mm. The perforations of the two lines are offset relative to one another. The intervals of undamaged film between the perforations are longer than the perforations.

  • Publication number: 20070182047
Abstract: A method for producing fiber-reinforced plate material on the basis of a fiber web that contains at least one planar fiber structure and is impregnated with a thermoplastic plastic matrix. The one or more fiber structures are impregnated or coated with a reactive starting material, containing cyclic or macrocylic oligomers of the polyester, and in that the fiber web which contains one or more combined, impregnated or coated fiber structures is coated on one or both sides with a surface layer that contains a polymerized polyester. The fiber web that is coated with said surface layer is pressed in a pressing device to give a plate material, thereby polymerizing the reactive starting material into a plastic matrix that surrounds the fiber structure and that is permanently joined to the surface layer.

  • Publication number: 20040089975
Abstract: A process for manufacturing fibre-reinforced plastic components whereby, a reactive starting mixture is prepared from a starting material and injected into a cavity in a mould containing a fibre-type mass, whereby the reactive molten mass along with the fibre-type mass is transformed by means of a polymeric reaction into a fibre-reinforced plastic component. A heated plasticising unit with screw feed system, prepares the starting material as a low viscosity, reactive molten mass, and the reactive molten mass is conveyed by the screw feed system from the plasticising unit and injected either directly or indirectly into the cavity of the mould.
