  • Patent number: 8967336
Abstract: The invention relates to an elevator car which is suitable for elevators in which all of the elements which are to be maintained and checked are arranged outside the elevator car, opposite only one side of the elevator car. The elevator car comprises, on said side, one part (3) that is arranged more than 85 cm above the elevator base (1) on the elevator wall (2) and that can be removed from inside the elevator. The part (3) is as least 95 cm in height and, after being removed, can rest vertically on the base of the elevator (1), against the elevator wall (2), in order to form a balustrade (4). At least one spacer (5, 19) is arranged between the removable part (3) and the lower part (6) of the elevator wall (2) so that the distance from the inner side of the side wall part (3) that is placed on the base (1), facing the elevator, to the elements (7, 8) of the elevator drive moving past the travelling elevator car is at least 10 cm.

  • Publication number: 20140076670
Abstract: The elevator has, when the elevator car is in its lowermost access level, no elevator shaft pit or one with absolute minimal depth but complies with regulations with respect to protective spaces against the risk of being crushed. The elevator car is movable in an elevator shaft with shaft doors to several access levels. Maintenance operations can be carried out both on the elevator car or from the interior of the elevator car. Access to the region below the elevator car is possible in that at least the lowermost shaft door is permanently locked, whilst all upper shaft doors can have emergency unlocking means. The at least lowermost shaft door is thus permanently locked, with the exception of the state in which the elevator car is in a stopped state, or is stopped, opposite it. The required permanent protective space consists of the entire interior of the elevator car.

  • Publication number: 20140076667
Abstract: An elevator car can be moved in service mode by a control unit in the interior of the car. The control unit can be accommodated behind a part, which is removable, pivotable out or displaceable, in the ceiling or light in the car, or behind a wall part, which is removable, pivotable open or displaceable, of the car. The control unit can hang at a cable and be removable from a storage niche to be actuable from any location in the interior of the car. The control unit can be a wireless transmitter which co-operates with a wireless interface at the car. Since car is movable, controlled from the interior, to any desired point of the travel path and can be stopped at any desired point all maintenance operations can be performed from the car.

  • Patent number: 8573367
Abstract: This elevator car (10) is characterized by a car roof (9), which is designed to be non-load bearing, so that in the uppermost position of the car (10) the required free space F in the form of a cuboid lying on one of the sides thereof and having the minimum dimensions of 0.5 m×0.6 m×0.8 m is located completely inside the car (10) and extends down to the car floor (8). When a potential load is applied onto the car roof (9), it yields or is lowered due to deformation. In this way, the required free space F of 0.6 m×0.5 m×0.8 m above the surface on which a maintenance technician can stand is ensured in any case as a safety space against the danger of crushing, even if the elevator car moves very close to the ceiling of the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20130105249
Abstract: An elevator shaft door unlocking mechanism has expander skates on the door drive to unlock the elevator shaft door when entering the region close to an access level. The skates are flexible with respect to the elevator car such that, in the event of any touching of the elevator shaft head, they are flexible over an adjustable distance, and, after the elevator car moves away from the elevator shaft head, they assume their original position. The skates are displaceably mounted on the expander skate construction along respective guides, are held in the uppermost displacement position by tension springs, and are displaced downwardly against the force of these springs through application of force to the upper ends from above resulting from a collision with the elevator shaft head. After the upper ends have been released, they are returned to the uppermost displacement position again by the springs.
