The multifunctional wound treatment dressing includes an occlusive wrapping adapted for placing over a wound. The multifunctional wound treatment dressing further includes at least two of the group of electrical, optical or mechanical stimulation means adapted for transmitting electrical, optical or mechanical energy towards the wound to stimulate healing of the wound and/or means for applying a negative (i.e. sub-atmospheric) pressure to the wound.
