  • Patent number: 9223781
Abstract: The system provides for the automatic editing of a video comprised of a plurality of content segments. When two or more content clips are available at a particular moment in time, the system will automatically choose at least a portion of one of the clips pursuant to preference metrics determined by a user. The system contemplates the ability of the user to define specific metrics to control the editing, including frequency of edits, content of content clip, level of activity, and the like. In another embodiment, the system has a plurality of pre-defined editing modes that define various metrics for use in the automatic editing system, including guaranteed participation, speaker-centric, quality of clip, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20130304243
Abstract: The system allows the rapid normalization and synchronization of a plurality of content files using an audio synchronization scheme that reduces computational overhead and provides reliable results. In one embodiment, the system accepts a plurality of content files, performs spectral peak extraction and performs correlation in the log-frequency domain using subtraction. This is used to calculate a reliable confidence score for the calculated correlation. The system uses short duration samples from the beginning and end of a content file and limits the frequencies being matched to time-delay estimation in a very processing-efficient manner.

  • Patent number: 7457745
Abstract: A fast on-line automatic speaker/environment adaptation suitable for speech/speaker recognition system, method and computer program product are presented. The system comprises a computer system including a processor, a memory coupled with the processor, an input coupled with the processor for receiving acoustic signals, and an output coupled with the processor for outputting recognized words or sounds. The system includes a model-adaptation system and a recognition system, configured to accurately and efficiently recognize on-line distorted sounds or words spoken with different accents, in the presence of randomly changing environmental conditions. The model-adaptation system quickly adapts standard acoustic training models, available on audio recognition systems, by incorporating distortion parameters representative of the changing environmental conditions or the speaker's accent. By adapting models already available to the new environment, the system does not need separate adaptation training data.

  • Patent number: 5602435
Abstract: In the case of a gas-cooled electrical machine, the effective flow cross-section of the connection from the outer hot-gas chambers to the cooler is provided with an adjustable restrictor device (29, 31; 32, 33). In this way, the splitting of the various cooling-air flows within the machine can be influenced, without intervention in the actual machine, such that equalization of the temperature level in the machine longitudinal direction is achieved.
