  • Publication number: 20230021972
Abstract: A nozzle has a body having a face extending in a longitudinal direction and transversely thereto in a transverse direction. The nozzle plate is provided with an array of melt openings and compressed-air openings on the face in a plurality of longitudinally extending rows and a plurality of transversely extending rows. A polymer melt to the nozzle openings to extrude the polymer melt downstream from the melt openings as polymer filaments and compressed air to the compressed-air openings to form air jets issuing downstream from the compressed-air openings between the polymer filaments. Only the polymer melt and no air is supplied to the melt openings such that only the polymer melt issues from the melt openings. Only compressed air and no polymer melt is supplied to the compressed-air openings such that only the compressed air issues from the compressed-air openings.

  • Patent number: 11383481
Abstract: A laminate is made by first making by melt-blowing or spunbonding of multicomponent, thermoplastic, and endless filaments a first nonwoven layer lying generally in a plane and having a predetermined shrinkage capacity or potential parallel to the plane and making of thermoplastic and endless filaments a second nonwoven layer also lying generally in a respective plane and having a shrinkage capacity or potential that is smaller than that of the first nonwoven layer. The two layers are directly juxtaposed flatly on each other, and the directly juxtaposed first and second layer are bonded together only at bonded regions while leaving an array of unbonded regions distributed over a surface of the two bonded-together nonwoven layers. Then only the first nonwoven layer is shrunk so that the second layer bunches in the unbonded regions and is there raised transverse to a plane of the bonded-together layers.

  • Patent number: 9527182
Abstract: A device for the extraction of processing products includes a double-walled extraction hood, which has a first inner housing part and a second outer housing part arranged at a distance from the first inner housing part. The two housing parts are arranged coaxial with each other and partially within each other in such a way that an air channel is formed between the two housing parts. The air channel has a front end that can be aligned with the workpiece and a rear end opposite the front end. A flow directed from the front end to the rear end can be created in the air channel. The extraction hood, in particular the inner housing part of the extraction hood, is designed to accommodate at least part of the processing device and can be connected thereto.

  • Patent number: 8688371
Abstract: The automatic generation of multiple sets of directions for navigating geographically to a specific destination without specification of an origin. Based on the destination, candidate roads or other transportation conduits are selected for analysis. Candidate meta-departure points are analyzed and selected along the roads based on distribution about the destination, cardinal directions relative to the destination, road metadata, distance to the destination, driving time, and other factors. The number of departure points generated to represent routes to the destination from the several logical cardinal directions is minimized. The generated departure points also represent routes that a majority of people would likely take to the destination. Additionally, the generated departure points originate from places that users are likely to be familiar with and can get to without additional guidance.

  • Publication number: 20110246519
Abstract: A method of accessing an electronic document located within a communication network including database nodes (180) having access to electronic documents is provided. The method comprises receiving a query from a user (110) via the communication network, the query indicating the electronic document to be accessed. The method further comprises determining, based on at least one predefined determination criterion, which of the database nodes (180) potentially have access to the electronic document indicated in the query. Moreover, the method comprises querying the determined database nodes (180) for determining a database node (180) having verified access to the electronic document.

  • Publication number: 20070189514
Abstract: Computer- and network-based methods and systems for transmission-based billing are provided. Example embodiments provide a Packet-Based Billing System (“PBBS”), which enables application providers, such as carriers and content providers, to bill subscribers for the use of content on mobile subscriber devices, such as wireless devices, on a per-application, per-user basis based upon the extent of the usage. Embodiments of the present invention can also be used to bill subscribers for the use of content on a per-application, per-user basis for wired subscriber devices as well, using the same techniques. In operation, the PBBS provides modified content by inserting billing and tracking code into content returned to a requesting device. The modified content, when executed, tracks the amount of data sent and received between the content and a network and posts the accumulated data to a proxy/billing server according to business rules for an interval/frequency to post such data.
