  • Patent number: 11166148
Abstract: A method for resource management in a vehicle-based mobile communications unit. In the method, during a mobile communication transaction conducted via two simultaneously established mobile communication channels, the user-nonspecific data components of the currently active identity profile are compared with one another to determine the mobile communication services provider currently being used. In case of a mobile communication services provider identity determined within the context of the comparison, one of the mobile communication channels is switched off and the mobile communications are conducted via the other mobile communication channel.

  • Patent number: 10412568
Abstract: A method for providing aid after a vehicle accident involving a vehicle includes establishing a wireless connection between the vehicle and a rescue center. First sensor data, which is ascertained via a first sensor in the vehicle, is transmitted to the rescue center, while second sensor data, detected by the first sensor and/or by a second sensor of the vehicle, is transmitted to and stored at a data storage unit independent of the rescue center. Contact information assigned to the data storage unit is transmitted from the vehicle to the rescue center via the wireless connection. The second sensor data and/or data derived therefrom stored in the data storage unit is retrieved by the rescue center using the contact information, where the retrieved data is usable to select aid appropriate to a type of the vehicle accident.

  • Patent number: 8003246
Abstract: An energy storage device is provided including multiple back-to-back-disposed storage cells, from the first end of which the plus pole is made to emerge and from the other end of which the minus pole is made to emerge, thereby creating a series circuit of the storage cells. In order to reduce fabrication costs, it is proposed that each of the storage cells have a continuous opening between the plus pole and the minus pole, through which opening a guide rod extends that secures the back-to-back-disposed storage cells in this position.

  • Patent number: 7755309
Abstract: A drive system for a motor vehicle comprising an internal-combustion engine, an electric machine coupled to the internal-combustion engine, and a transmission device through which a ratio change can be implemented without a tractive power interruption is described. Also described is a control device for controlling the electric machine and for controlling the transmission device. The control device is constructed such that, in the event of a braking demand, the demanded total braking torque is at least proportionally provided by the electric machine, and, in the case of an existing braking demand with a constant total braking torque and a change of the transmission ratio implemented in the presence of this braking demand, the electric machine is controlled such that the total braking torque changing because of the ratio change is at least partially compensated, so that a constant total braking torque according to the braking demand is maintained.
