  • Patent number: 11845602
Abstract: A tank for the storage of liquid or gaseous substances with a fiber-reinforced plastic sheathing, which limits at least one interior space for holding the materials to be stored. At least one circumferential section of the fiber-reinforced plastic sheathing comprises an evacuable sandwich structure, which completely encloses the circumferential section. As a result, the tank has a low weight with a high thermal insulation capacity. Furthermore, a reliable explosion protection of the tank is provided. Furthermore, a method for manufacturing a tank for the storage of liquid or gaseous substances is provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 2, 2020
Date of Patent: December 19, 2023
    Assignee: ArianeGroup GmbH
Inventors: Christian Wendt, Gerrit Quappen, Michael Quatmann, Markus Quadt, Markus Kleineberg, Dirk Röstermundt, Jan Stüve, Daniel Stefaniak, Andreas Kolbe

  • Patent number: 10661886
Abstract: The invention relates to a wing structure (1) for flying objects, comprising a wing leading edge (4) and a wing box (2), wherein the wing leading edge should be arranged on the wing box in particular in a detachable manner. For this purpose, the wing leading edge is connected to the wing box within a joining segment (9) and to rib extensions (11) of the wing box by means of fastening element (12) near the nose segment (15) such that a fastening-free segment (14) extends on the top side (16) of the wing leading edge in order to compensate thermal deformation during flight.

  • Publication number: 20160059453
Abstract: A method and a device for the infusion of a matrix material into a fibrous material is used for the production of a fiber composite component. The matrix material is infused into the fibrous material, which has been laid on the molding tool, by virtue of the matrix material from the reservoir being introduced from the infusion openings provided in the tool surface, such that said matrix material can be forced from said infusion openings into the fibrous material.

  • Publication number: 20130337207
Abstract: A method for the manufacture of an integrally reinforced lightweight structure with a fiber-reinforced plastic by a molding tool, the structure having stiffening ribs crossing one another at node points and a skin attached to the stiffening ribs. The molding tool has channel-type depressions for creating the stiffening ribs. The steps include laying down into the depressions at least one intermediate layer and at least one reinforcement layer, repeating the laying down until the depressions are at least partially filled with intermediate layers and reinforcement layers to form the stiffening ribs with integral connecting feet, populating the molding tool with intermediate layers and reinforcement layers for manufacturing the skin, and curing and/or solidifying the intermediate layers and reinforcement layers. A resulting lightweight structure and a device for the manufacture of the lightweight structure are also disclosed.
