  • Publication number: 20060261196
Abstract: A device for mincing food, having a slide on which food product that is to be minced can be slid so as to carry out a mincing procedure, and having at least one cutting blade, has a switch-over means that switches over between a neutral position, in which at least the cutting edge of the cutting blade is covered and/or recessed, and a cutting position, in which the cutting edge of the cutting blade is not covered and not recessed.

  • Publication number: 20060227926
Abstract: A particle counter that operates according to the blackout and/or light blockade method for counting foreign particles in a fluid stream, in particular in a hydraulic fluid stream, having a photoelectric barrier whose beam of light penetrates through a measurement channel through which a bypass substream of the fluid stream flows and having an electronic analyzer downstream from the receiver of the photoelectric barrier, should have a simple design and should operate with a high measurement precision while also permitting remote displays.

  • Publication number: 20060157599
Abstract: A food holder for a grater or a slicer, having a shaft element into which food that is to be minced can be placed and through which it can be conveyed to a device for mincing foods that can be connected to the holder is characterized in that the shaft element has an elongated cross section.

  • Publication number: 20040211915
Abstract: In a method for the determination of substances in a liquid or gaseous sample wherein a number representing the number of substances of different size classes assumed to be in the sample is selected, micro-particles with binding partners of one of the substances assumed to be in the sample are added to the sample so that a hybridization takes place in which binding partners are joined to a substance-specific agent of the substance in the sample if such substance is present such that the size of the micro-particle increases and the amount of enlarged micro-particles in the sample is determined as an indication for the actual presence of the substance assumed to be present in the sample.

  • Patent number: 6102704
Abstract: Method and device for the detection of caries in teeth (8). In order, after investigation of a tooth (8), to be able again to find the tooth location with the greatest incidence of caries, the instantaneous measurement value and the peak measurement value--which corresponds to the location with the greatest incidence of caries attack--are displayed. By comparison of the instantaneous measurement value with the peak measurement value the tooth location with the greatest incidence of caries attack can be localised when the instantaneous measurement value coincides with the peak measurement value.
