  • Publication number: 20210222775
Abstract: A component assembly for a motor vehicle includes a housing and an actuating element that is rotatable about an axis. The assembly also includes an actuator which is configured to cause rotation of the actuating element. The assembly further includes a rotatable shaft which extends along a shaft axis and is disposed between the actuating element and the actuator and which is coupled to the actuating element and the actuator. The shaft is guided through a first through opening in the housing. A sealing system which seals a first end of the first through opening in relation to a second end, facing away from the first end, of the first through opening against liquid media passing through is provided in a radial direction that is perpendicular to the shaft axis so as to be between the shaft and a first internal wall of the first through opening. The sealing system has a first sealing element having a second through opening through which the shaft is guided.

  • Patent number: 7824212
Abstract: The apparatus simplifies release of the locking connections. The second housing section of the electrical device is designed rotationally asymmetrically in such a way that when rotated about the longitudinal axis, the electrical device at one particular side wall of the second housing section causes the at least one locking connection to open.

  • Publication number: 20080202484
Abstract: An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine has a core, which is provided with a plastic extrusion coat on its periphery. The core is concentrically surrounded by a secondary coil and a primary coil. The plastic extrusion coat of the core is used as a coil shell for the secondary coil so that it is possible to dispense with a separate secondary coil shell. The ignition coil therefore has an especially compact design.

  • Patent number: 7293553
Abstract: An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine has a rod-shaped magnetic core, which is situated within a secondary coil shell. The annular interspace between the magnetic core and the secondary coil shell is filled with an electrically insulating molded material. To prevent the formation of tears in the molded material during thermo-mechanical loading, or the spread of such tears such that the operativeness of the ignition coil is adversely affected, a separation element is provided, which divides the molded material into at least two mutually separate regions.

  • Publication number: 20070101976
Abstract: An ignition coil has an ignition coil housing having a core and coil forms situated within it. In order to fill in the gaps between the components in the ignition coil housing using a cast resin used as insulation, the invention provides to introduce the latter either by a hollow needle or a riser directly into the bottom region of the ignition coil housing. The method described herein allows for a homogeneous material distribution of the cast resin and avoids inclusions of foreign particles or gases in the ignition coil housing.

  • Publication number: 20070075814
Abstract: An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine has a secondary coil shell and a primary coil shell, which are positioned concentrically about a core and produced from plastic by injection molding methods. To avoid damage to the wire, at least the secondary coil shell is configured in such a way that it has no mold offset and no burrs in its winding region for the wire, which is achieved by providing separation planes extending transversely to the longitudinal axis.

  • Publication number: 20070013469
Abstract: An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine has a core, about which a secondary coil shell and a primary coil shell are concentrically positioned. The spaces between the core, the secondary coil shell, and the primary coil shell are filled in by an encapsulating material. The core is made up of lamellar, magnetic steel sheets. To compensate for stresses resulting from the different thermal expansion coefficients of the components, an elastic layer is situated between at least two of the magnetic steel sheets of the core.
