Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods, systems, and computer program products for providing access to vector data on a mobile device providing. A corresponding may comprise a mobile device; a server remote from the mobile device; the mobile device configured to: transmit, from the mobile device to the remote server, one or more requests for first vector data, the requests specifying the first vector data, a display property of the mobile device, a first zoom level and a location within the vector data; and the remote server configured to: determine, based on the one or more requests, one or more image tiles representing information of the requested first vector data; and provide the one or more image tiles to the mobile device for display.

Abstract: Navigating from an alert related to a state of a data object to a source of the alert includes displaying alerts in a portal environment. The portal environment has an analytical portal application associated with an analytical data store and a transaction portal application associated with a transaction data store. One of the alerts includes a transaction alert that is associated with a data object in the transaction data and another of the alerts includes an analytical alert that is associated with a data object. An indication of a transaction alert or an analytical alert is received from a user. When the indication is an indication of an analytical alert, navigation occurs to the analytical portal application. When the indication is an indication of the transaction alert, navigation occurs to the transaction portal application.

Abstract: In a computer system having several application programs, wherein each application program is configured to manage at least one of several object types, a method of identifying objects includes receiving a first input that a user makes under guidance of an input control in a graphical user interface (GUI) to specify 1) a user-selected object type, 2) a user-selected attribute that is associated with the user-selected object type, and 3) a user-selected attribute value for the user-selected attribute. The method includes executing a search in the computer system for any objects corresponding to the first input. The method includes initiating a first application program that is configured to manage objects of the user-selected object type, wherein the first application program presents a result of the search in the GUI. The input control may remain visible with the application, for executing a new search for the same or another object type.

Abstract: A system for generating a Web service includes a graphical user interface to guide a designer to create a Web service in pre-defined stages. The graphical user interface receives an input that selects an object and associated attributes from a repository of pre-defined business objects. The system includes a Web service generator that automatically generates code describing and implementing the Web service according to the selected object and attributes. The system also includes a Web service engine to perform runtime operations of the Web service.

Abstract: Techniques are described for automating the generation of access control information that identifies users that are permitted to access particular business objects used by a computer application. The generation of access control information is based on a characteristic that is shared by the user and the business object to be accessed. The characteristic may be an attribute. The characteristic also may be the identification of a process to determine a characteristic of a user and/or a characteristic of a business object.

Abstract: Data structures for use in controlling access to data objects by users of a computer system or computing device are described. The data structures include an access control group data structure, a user access data structure, and a data object access data structure. The access control group data structure stores access control group data. The user access data structure stores user access data. The user access data relates to at least one entry in the access control group data structure. The data object access data structure stores data object access data, which relates to at least one entry in the access control group. Additional data structures described include an access control rule data structure and a characteristic method data structure.

Abstract: A method of providing a context-dependent tile for display on a client device includes: receiving at a server device a request from a client device for a tile, the tile being associated with a context identifier stored on the server device; requesting from the client device a context data portion that is associated with the context identifier, the context data portion being selected from context data stored on the client device; receiving at the server device the context data portion from the client device; and sending the tile from the server device to the client device, the tile being generated using the context data portion. The method may be implemented so that the request of the context data portion may be performed by sending a dummy tile to the client device. Additionally, the server device may retrieve the context identifier from a context repository.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for providing user navigation to electronic data stored in a data source system. A method may include obtaining, in a data repository management system, pre-selected electronic data stored in a data source system, and providing an output for displaying the pre-selected electronic data on an access device. The output creates a navigation link that upon user selection prompts the data repository management system for navigation target information for accessing the pre-selected electronic data stored in the data source system. A user input using the navigation link may be received at the data repository management system, indicating a request for access to the pre-selected electronic data in the data source system. In response, the data repository management system provides information to the access device, causing it to guide user navigation to access the pre-selected electronic data stored in the data source system.

Abstract: A web-based portal includes portal pages registered within a web-based architecture, and navigation options linked to different ones of the registered portal pages. A display of registered portal pages is provided as follows. A server provides, to an access device, information to provide a display of a selected first registered portal page that includes a hyperlink to a second registered portal page. The display of the page is provided within a displayed navigation framework that includes a navigation menu for user selection of navigation options. In response to receiving an input indicating user selection of the displayed hyperlink to the second page, the server provides to the access device 1) information to provide a display of the second registered portal page within the displayed navigation framework, and 2) information that causes the navigation menu to emulate a selection of a navigation option linked to the second registered navigation page.
