  • Patent number: 9041320
Abstract: The invention relates to a portable work apparatus having a housing and a work tool which is driven by an electric motor via a gear assembly. A flywheel which rotates about a rotational axis is arranged in the drive train between the electric motor and the gear assembly, which flywheel is connected fixedly to an output shaft so as to rotate with it, which output shaft protrudes into a gear assembly space and has a drive pinion. The output, shaft and the flywheel are mounted in the housing by two bearing locations, the rotational axis of the flywheel and a motor shaft of the electric motor lying coaxially with respect to one another, and the motor shaft of the electric motor being connected fixedly to the flywheel so as to rotate with it. The electric motor is fixed in the housing exclusively via a torque support.

  • Patent number: 8685200
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of electrochemical cells and fuel cells, and more specifically to polymer-electrolyte-membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) and direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC). It is directed to catalyst-coated ionomer membranes (“CCMs”) and membrane-electrode-assemblies (“MEAs”) that contain one or more protective film layers for protection, sealing and better handling purposes. The one or more protective film layers are attached to the surface of said catalyst-coated membranes in such a way that they overlap with a region of the passive non-coated ionomer area, and with a region of the active area that is coated with a catalyst layer. Furthermore, the present invention discloses a process for manufacture of CCMs and MEAs that contain protective film layers. The materials may be used as components for the manufacture of low temperature fuel cell stacks.

  • Publication number: 20140028126
Abstract: An electric drive motor for a work apparatus includes a stator having two stator poles which are at a distance from one another in the circumferential direction and have respective field windings. The motor has a rotor which rotates between the stator poles and the rotor shaft of the rotor drives a fan wheel. The cooling-air flow generated by the fan wheel enters the stator, flows therethrough and is discharged therefrom. For effective cooling, a pole intermediate space is provided between the stator poles; and, for the cooling-air flow, this space is filled by a non-magnetic guide body to provide a cooling duct delimited by the guide body and the field windings. The guide body is fastened to a support at one stator end and is inserted axially into the stator at the other end thereof.

  • Publication number: 20110218289
Abstract: The invention relates to a mixture composition having dispersing properties, containing copolymers based on unsaturated mono or dicarboxylic acid derivatives and oxyalkylene ethers as component I and water-soluble copolymers and terpolymers containing sulfo groups having an average molecular weight of 50 000-20 000 000 g/mol as component II. By combining both components, which can be respectively characterized by four different structural units, it is possible to obtain mixture compositions which can, more particularly, be used as dispersing agents for organic and/or inorganic pigments and fillers, in addition to known applications in the field of structural chemistry. In the field of structural chemistry, the mixture compositions are suitable for use on account of the dispersing properties thereof, particularly in ceramic systems and in water-based painting and coating systems.

  • Patent number: 7658041
Abstract: The clamping element is supported in a positive fit on the base plate in the direction of traction of the traction element in the anchoring for pre-stressed strip-shaped traction elements on supporting structures. The traction element is received between a base plate which is fixed to the supporting structure and a clamping plate which can be clamped against the base plate and is fixed by adhesion and clamping. The clamping plate can include, on each side of the traction element, a retaining cam plate which projects in a downward manner and which engages in a retaining recess of the base plate, or can include a retaining projection which supports a stop which is connected to the base plate. The stops on the upper side of the base plate are welded push blocks which are arranged on both sides and/or in the region of the front side of the clamping plate.

  • Patent number: 7441380
Abstract: A tie anchor for strip-type tension members includes an anchor body disposed on at least one side of the tension member. The anchor body includes a plurality of clamping blocks arranged at a distance from each other in a longitudinal direction of the tension member. The clamping blocks are connected to tension member by adhesive and/or friction (clamping friction). An end-most (final) one of the clamping blocks is attached to a fixed abutment. Adjacent clamping blocks are interconnected by expansion members whose spring stiffness becomes progressively stronger toward the end-most clamping block.

  • Patent number: 7368758
Abstract: A method is provided for producing a housing body for optoelectronic components that are reliable and inexpensive. The method creates a hermetic joint between a metal sleeve and a glass pane by joining together a housing element and a preferably metallic housing arrangement. The housing element and the housing arrangement are brought into contact with a glass solder, before the housing element and housing arrangement are joined. The glass solder is applied as a shapeable material, in particular as a paste. The glass solder is pre-vitrified and has its shape fixed by energy being introduced at least once, in particular as a result of organic constituents being burnt off. After the housing element has been inserted into the housing arrangement, a joint that is hermetic at least in regions, is produced between the glass pane and housing arrangement.

  • Patent number: 7296385
Abstract: Pre-stressed, strip-type tension members are applied to supporting structures, especially concrete supporting structures. To this end, a clamping device is used to pre-stress the tension member at least at one end, at a distance from the surface of the supporting structure, by a temporary clamping element which is fixed to the tension member, and the tension member is then pressed onto the surface by at least one permanent brace. The two temporary clamping elements are removed from the surface once the tension member has been pressed onto the surface.
