  • Patent number: 8770914
Abstract: A steam turbine system including a steam turbine is provided. The steam turbine system includes a high-pressure side steam inlet device, a low-pressure side steam device, and a control device for controlling the steam turbine. An additional steam inlet device is also included arranged between the high-pressure side steam inlet device and the low-pressure side steam device. The control device control a supply of steam via the additional steam inlet device as a function of operating parameters detected at the steam turbine system.

  • Patent number: 8224553
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has at least one cylinder and an exhaust gas tract, which contains a component to be protected. An estimated dynamic component temperature of the component is determined in accordance with at least one operating variable of the internal combustion engine, taking into consideration the dynamic behavior of the section of the internal combustion engine. An estimated stationary component temperature of the component is determined in accordance with at least one operating variable of the internal combustion engine without taking into consideration the dynamic behavior of the section of the internal combustion engine. An actual value is determined for the component temperature of the component in accordance with the estimated dynamic and stationary component temperatures of the component to be protected. Protective measures for the component are implemented in accordance with the actual value of the component temperature of the component to be protected.

  • Patent number: 7934484
Abstract: In a method for controlling an internal combustion engine (10) during which two operating modes (OPMOD) are switched between under the permissible variation of at least one first and one second torque manipulated variables if, as a result, a torque-neutral changing over into the target operating mode (OPMOD_F) can be achieved within a cylinder segment. If the predetermined changing over condition is fulfilled, a torque-neutral changing over occurs while varying the at least first and second torque manipulated variables. If the predetermined changing over condition is not fulfilled, the initial operating mode (OPMOD_I) is maintained and at least one of the at least first and second torque manipulated variables and an at least one third torque manipulated variable are torque neutrally varied until the change over condition is fulfilled.
