  • Publication number: 20230196566
Abstract: An image annotation system for annotating a microscopic image of a sample is provided. The image annotation system includes an output unit configured to display the image of the sample, and an input unit configured to capture a first and second user input sequence including a first and second movement of a cursor over a first and second selection area of the displayed image. The image annotation system also includes a processor configured to determine at least one image area of the image of the sample by determining a first image area based on the first selection area, based on the second movement beginning within the first selection area, redetermine the first image area based on the first and second selection areas, and based on the second movement beginning outside the first selection area, determining a second image area based on the second selection area.

Abstract: An image annotation system for annotating a microscopic image of a sample includes an output unit configured to display the image of the sample, and an input unit configured to capture a first and second user input sequence including a first and second movement of a cursor over the image, the first and second movement defining a first and second closed path. The image annotation system also includes a processor configured to determine a first image area, determine whether the second closed path includes at least one proximity section, when the second closed path does not include the proximity section, to determine a second image area, and when the second closed path does include the proximity section, to determine the second image area and at least one area between the border of the first image area and the at least one proximity section.

  • Patent number: 8445734
Abstract: The present invention discloses novel and improved nucleosidic and nucleotidic compounds that are useful in the light-directed synthesis of oligonucleotides, as well as, methods and reagents for their preparation. These compounds are characterized by novel photolabile protective groups that are attached to either the 5?- or the 3?-hydroxyl group of a nucleoside moiety. The photolabile protective group is comprised of a 2-(2-nitrophenyl)-ethyoxycarbonyl skeleton with at least one substituent on the aromatic ring that is either an aryl, an aroyl, a heteroaryl or an alkoxycarbonyl group. The present invention includes the use of the aforementioned compounds in light-directed oligonucleotide synthesis, the respective assembly of nucleic acid microarrays and their application.

  • Publication number: 20050105111
Abstract: A process for color quality assessment and color control in a color printing process is provided. The process utilizes a test element array including several test elements is co-reproduced with an image to be reproduced, whereby for the pixels of the image and the test elements of the test element array, color co-ordinate data are present in an original color space and for the test elements of the test element array the color values are present in an assessment color space are present. The co-reproduced test element array is calorimetrically measured with respect to the assessment color space, color differences of the test elements relative to the corresponding set color values are determined from the measured color values of the color elements and a color quality measure is calculated for the reproduced image and/or color correction quantities are calculated for the color reproduction process.
