  • Patent number: 12668115
Abstract: A washer to be arranged in a mechanical connection between an energy storage module and a housing of an electrical energy store for a motor vehicle includes an axial hole for receiving a connector and axially opposing bearing surfaces for pressing against metal contact surfaces of the energy storage module and the housing. The washer has a metal bushing for providing a current path between the contact surfaces for potential equalization between the energy storage module and the housing, the axially opposing faces of the bushing forming the bearing surfaces. The bushing has, between the faces, a tapering cross section forming a fuse for interrupting the current path in the event of overcurrent.

    Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Matthias Braig, Markus Poetzinger, Philip Raettich
  • Publication number: 20250140954
Abstract: An electric energy storage device including a plurality of energy storage cells that are interconnected along system current paths, wherein parallel current paths and measurement connections having a lower current-carrying capacity than the system current paths are formed between the system current paths. The measurement connections are used for measuring voltages.

  • Publication number: 20230133475
Abstract: An energy storage module having a plurality of electrochemical round cells, which are electrically interconnected in series and/or in parallel, wherein the round cells are arranged adjacent to one another in layers, and at least two layers on top of one another are provided, and two opposite support walls, which retain the two longitudinal ends of the round cells, wherein the support walls have projections, on which the longitudinal ends of the round cells rest, and wherein the projections vary in length along the longitudinal direction of the round cells from layer to layer.
