  • Publication number: 20210246851
Abstract: A fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine includes a fuel tank and an air supply and venting device for the fuel tank. The air supply and venting device includes a hydrocarbon retention device and an air supply and venting path, structured and arranged to provide a gas exchange between the fuel tank and an environment. The hydrocarbon retention device includes at least one filter membrane that separates hydrocarbons from air. The at least one filter membrane is arranged in the air supply and venting path such that the air supply and venting path is covered by the at least one filter membrane to prevent hydrocarbons from escaping from the fuel tank into the environment through the air supply and venting path. The at least one filter membrane has hydrocarbon nanotubes.

  • Publication number: 20200386198
Abstract: A fuel filter device for an internal combustion engine may include a water separator through which a fuel is flowable. To separate water contained in the fuel, the water separator may include a porous and hydrophilic membrane, which may include or be made of polymeric hollow fibers and which may be formed for cross-flow filtration of the fuel. A material of the hollow fibers may be hydrophilized via polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). The fuel filter device or the water separator may have a hydrophobic membrane for filtering residual fuel from the water separated via the hydrophilic membrane.

  • Patent number: 9731235
Abstract: A filter appliance may include a filter housing and a ring filter element having an axis and being mountable in the filter housing. The filter element may include a first axial end disc having a protruding pin configured to engage into a channel of the filter housing. The filter housing may have an interior including a first region and the ring filter element may include a second region associated with the first region. A guide contour may be arranged on one of the first region and the second region, and a first guide element and a second guide element may be disposed on the other of the first region and the second region. The guide contour may include a first axial groove and a second axial groove configured to receive the first guide element and the second guide element to define a key and lock interaction.
