Abstract: It is provided a method for adjusting an adjustable part that is provided at a bodywork opening of a vehicle to be closed by at least one vehicle door, wherein a power-operated adjustment of the adjustable part is controlled by using at least one sensor device via which a person in the surroundings of the bodywork opening can be detected and via which a power-operated adjustment of the adjustable part can be triggered in order to make it easier for a person to board or alight from a vehicle when the vehicle door is open.
