Abstract: An apparatus comprising: at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following: detect a particular user interaction, from a plurality of detectable user interactions each of the plurality of detectable user interactions associated with a particular application icon on a user interface of an electronic device, and one of a plurality of operating modes of the application associated with the particular application icon; and initiate automatic opening of the particular application in the respective one of the plurality of operating modes associated with the detected particular user interaction.
