The lower tool is guided for a closing motion directed along a vertical direction towards the upper tool. The lifting mechanism comprises a toggle lever mechanism which connects the lower tool to a support structure. The lifting mechanism comprises a first actuator assembly and a second actuator assembly. The first actuator assembly is configured to apply a first force for raising the lower tool. The second actuator assembly is configured to apply a second force for raising the lower tool. The first actuator assembly acts upon the lower tool while bypassing the toggle lever mechanism. The second actuator assembly acts upon the toggle lever mechanism.

Abstract: A suction nozzle, which is configured to aspirate a residual film of a film processed by a packaging machine. The suction nozzle comprises a tube assembly comprising a first tube and a second tube, wherein the first tube and the second tube are arranged coaxially with respect to one another and form a suction channel. An annular gap is provided between the first tube and the second tube, through which a gas, preferably air, can be blown into the suction channel.

Abstract: A workstation for a film-processing packaging machine defines a film transport plane in which the packaging film can be transported. In addition, the workstation comprises an electrically operable heating assembly. The latter in turn comprises an electrically conductive planar resistance heating element which in a plane parallel to the film transport plane has dimensions that are greater by a factor of at least 5, preferably at least 10, than in a direction perpendicular to the film transport plane. The resistance heating element is arranged between a heating plate and a clamping plate. The disclosure also relates to a packaging machine with such a workstation and to a method for operating such a workstation.

Packaging elements for receiving products in a predetermined format can be supplied to the packaging machine for a packaging process running thereon. The packaging machine may comprise a machine frame, at least one work station attached to the machine frame; a transport device that comprises a grouping unit for receiving packaging elements supplied by the feeding device to the packaging machine; and/or a transfer unit for transporting packaging elements received thereon to the work station. The grouping unit and the transfer unit can be brought together by way of a relative motion so that the packaging elements positioned on the grouping unit can be received by way of the transfer unit. The transfer unit may be capable of gripping the packaging elements. A method for producing a packaging as described above is also provided.

The suction plate may comprises at least one reception mold which is formed at least in part having the shape of an inner contour of an upper opening region of a tray facing it, provided to the reception mold for reception and transport, so that the reception mold during transport in the transport plane of the tray is arranged in a positive-fit manner in its upper opening region and aligns the tray in the transport plane in a predetermined position on the suction plate. The invention also relates to a method for supplying trays to a work station of a packaging machine.
