  • Patent number: 9480513
Abstract: Disclosed is a clamping element for setting a bone fracture. The element comprises a closed contoured body which has a substantially hollow cross-section and is enclosed by a peripheral wall. The contoured body has two opposite receiving portions at the end faces thereof, the receiving portions being intended to receive fixing elements which can be pushed through the body, and has two lateral flanks having angled portions. The peripheral wall of the contoured body is resiliently deformable at least in sections, in particular in the region of the receiving portions on the end faces of same and in the region of the lateral angled portions. A defined resilient behavior of the clamping element can be impressed via the angled portions in such a way that a predetermined tension can be generated between the receiving portions. Also disclosed are a method for producing the clamping element and a setting device for using said clamping element.

  • Patent number: 9220551
Abstract: Disclosed is a clamping element for setting a bone fracture. The element features a flexible and substantially non-plastically deformable continuous loop inside which at least two fixing elements can be pushed through, and an extension element of alterable length that can be inserted into and is expandable inside the continuous loop in such a manner that in order to enable the extension element to apply forces directed towards each other to the fixing elements, a predetermined tensile stress can be generated over the circumference of the continuous loop. Also disclosed is a setting device having the clamping element.

  • Publication number: 20150157375
Abstract: The invention proposes a tensioning element (1) for fixing the fracture ends of the bones in a bone fracture with a contoured body which is hollow when viewed from above and comprises a circumferential wall (6). The contoured body comprises two face sided receiving sections (a, 8b) lying opposite to each other, for receiving fastening means that can be pushed through the contoured body, and two lateral flanks with angled sections (10). The circumferential wall (6) of the contoured body is, at least in sections, in the region of the face side receiving sections (8a, 8b) and the lateral angled sections (10) resiliently deformable. Further, a defined elastic behavior of the tensioning element (1) is impressed via the angled sections (10) in such a way that a predetermined tension can be generated between the receiving sections (a, 8b).

  • Publication number: 20150133938
Abstract: The invention proposes a fixing device for fixing the fracture ends of bones in a bone fracture comprising at least two tensioning elements (2a, 2b), each of which has a contoured body that is hollow when viewed from above, has a circumferential wall (4) and two face sided receiving sections (6a, 6b) lying opposite to each other, at least one clamping sleeve and at least two fixing means which can be position in the face sided receiving sections. The at least two tensioning elements (2a, 2b) are positioned in relation to each other in such a way that one receiving section (6a, 6b) of each tensioning element (2a, 2b) is aligned with the respective other receiving section and are penetrated by the clamping sleeve in such a way that both tensioning elements (2a, 2b) are coupled to each other.

  • Publication number: 20150027277
Abstract: A ratchet (1) is provided, in particular a ratchet for surgical interventions or a dental ratchet, wherein the ratchet has a handle (2) and a pivot housing (4) arranged thereon, said pivot housing being a flat spiral (6). The spiral (6) is flexible and can be actuated such that the spiral (6) coils up in a plane that is oriented substantially vertically to the pivot axis D. The invention also relates to a torque transmission system which comprises a ratchet (1) and an implant driver. The implant driver has a first portion that is cylindrical and a second portion that is cylindrical or frustoconical, the second portion additionally having a receptacle for a medical tool, a surgical implant or any other object. In this way, an improved ratchet is obtained with which the torque to be applied can be applied to the implant driver in a metered manner.
