  • Publication number: 20170065107
Abstract: A thermally insulating single or multipart multilayer covering jacket for covering a person, includes a body side and an outer side. The covering jacket contains a transfer layer, a blocking layer, and a storage layer arranged between the transfer layer and the blocking layer. The transfer layer is arranged so as to face the body side and is water-permeable in the direction of the storage layer and water-impermeable in the direction away from the storage layer. The blocking layer is arranged so as to face the outer side and is water-impermeable in the direction away from the storage layer, and the blocking layer forms an intermediate space for storing condensed water which is formed from the steam transferred into the storage layer through the transfer layer.

  • Publication number: 20170043567
Abstract: A water vapor permeable, waterproof textile laminate, comprising at least two layers made of planar web material, which are disposed on top of each other and bonded to each other, wherein an open fabric web comprising polymer fiber threads forms a top tier and a film-like, water vapor permeable, waterproof thermoplastic membrane web forms a bottom tier. The polymer fiber threads of the fabric web comprise raised thread regions, which are held bearing against the membrane web and/or are partially fused into the membrane web, wherein the membrane web comprises integral fusion areas with the raised thread regions, which are generated according to the invention by way of laser light in a laser transmission welding method.

  • Publication number: 20140323934
Abstract: In order to improve the use of a medical support and compression stocking, it is proposed that the stocking (10) shall comprise a woven- or knitted-fabric-type base element (20) that is substantially tubular and that can be pulled over the lower leg of the wearer. Moreover, the stocking comprises at least one air chamber (30) that can be filled with air. The air chamber (30) is designed in a tubular shape along the length of the support and compression stocking. The stocking further comprises an electronic unit that is equipped with a micropump and a valve for the air supply, the micropump being provided with a valve, a current source, preferably a rechargeable battery and control electronics including a wireless data transfer unit. The pressure values of the at least one air chamber can be regulated by means of the data transfer unit and a software stored in the electronic unit.

  • Publication number: 20120277603
Abstract: For easy determination of the current stress condition of a person, a device is proposed that detects the pulse rate and therefrom additionally determines the heart rate variability—preferably by means of a fast Fourier transform. In addition, at least one parameter related to the history of one of the two values mentioned above shall be used. Preferably, the deviations of the cardiac frequency and of the heart rate variability from corresponding norm parameters are integrated and thus used as an additional stress indicator.

  • Patent number: 7866177
Abstract: A personal cooling element for patients comprises at least one cooling zone (2) that can be pre-tensioned against the body surface (10) of a person wearing the personal cooling element. The cooling zone (2) is three-layered with an internal layer (4) that faces towards the body, an external layer (6) that faces away from the body and an evaporation zone (8) that is located therebetween. The internal layer (4) and the external layer (6) each are made from a material that is waterproof and permeable to water vapor. The evaporation zone (8) is supplied with liquid water.

  • Publication number: 20050188466
Abstract: The invention relates to an air mattress comprised of at least one air chamber made of strips of an air-tight, water vapor permeable or water vapor impermeable material that are welded or glued together. The air chamber is provided with a closable valve for letting air in and out, and the air chamber is filled with a down feather material or a synthetic fiber insulation material.

  • Publication number: 20030131967
Abstract: The invention relates to a planar heat insulating device, in particular, an item of clothing or a cover for the human body, comprising a shell (2; 12), which is filled with a heat-insulating material (3, 13). The shell (2, 12) has at least one outlet (32) provided, by means of which a reduction of the gas volume in the thermal-insulating device is possible. The insulating power of the thermal-insulating device can thus be varied, in particular reduced, by, for example, a factor of 10, by means of a considerable volume reduction. An item of clothing can thus be produced which may have thermal-insulation properties, optimised to suit the wearers activities with differing levels of physical exertion.
