  • Publication number: 20240074932
Abstract: Disclosed is a buttock support for at least partial load-relief of the body weight of a person, the buttock support having two support regions adapted to receive at least part of a buttock region of the person. Also disclosed is a load-relief system having the aforementioned buttock support. The two support regions are separated from one another by a gap and are rounded. The gap separates the two support regions from one another centrally. The buttock support significantly simplifies the connection of a person to the aforementioned load-relief system to prepare for manual and/or automated physical therapy and also ensures that the thigh region, in particular the inner face of the thigh, and the groin region are accessible for further medical/therapeutic treatment by the medical staff.

  • Patent number: 10686363
Abstract: A no load detection and shutdown circuit in an isolated driver is provided. A no load condition is detected by primary side evaluation of a reflected voltage. • Patent number: 10381926
Abstract: A digitally compensated hysteretic power supply with enhanced resolution is provided. Such a power supply includes a comparator that is used to compare a load current sense signal with an internal signal generated from a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). A compensation circuit at a DAC input operates to improve current accuracy beyond the given DAC resolution. The current sense signal is converted to its digital equivalent, which is fed to a proportional-integral (PI) compensation loop, which in turn generates a relatively precise high resolution DAC input value. The DAC uses the higher part of the DAC value. The lower part of the DAC value is treated as a duty cycle number, and the DAC output is toggled between two levels at this duty cycle. This toggling generates a current output signal having a value that is the average of the two toggled values.

  • Publication number: 20170063240
Abstract: A DC-DC flyback converter includes a transformer and a switching component connected between the transformer and a ground. The switching component controls current flow through the primary winding of the transformer. A snubber circuit is connected between ground and the connection between the transformer and the switching component. The snubber circuit reduces transient voltage spikes across the switching component. A capacitive component of the snubber circuit provides stability for a primary side auxiliary output voltage while maintaining power factor and THD performance.

  • Patent number: 9301375
Abstract: A multi-strike ballast to ignite an electrodeless lamp is disclosed, and includes an inverter circuit, a protection circuit, and a controller. The inverter circuit, upon activation, sends an ignition pulse to the lamp. The inverter circuit shuts down upon receiving a deactivation signal, and activates upon receiving an activation signal, triggering another ignition pulse. The protection circuit senses a change in a voltage associated with the lamp. The sensed changed may indicate that the lamp has not yet ignited or that the lamp is broken. The controller receives the sensed change in voltage and, in response, sends a deactivation signal to the inverter circuit. The controller waits a predetermined time and then sends an activation signal to the inverter circuit. The controller repeats until a change in voltage associated with the lamp is not sensed, or until a predefined number of repeats occur, providing multiple ignition pulses to the lamp.

  • Publication number: 20150357920
Abstract: An inverter for a lighting device including one or more solid state light sources is used to power a secondary load, such as a cooling device, sensor, or control with an auxiliary power circuit that provides a selectable auxiliary voltage to the secondary load. The auxiliary power circuit includes a voltage regulation circuit and a voltage selection circuit. The voltage selection circuit provides a feedback voltage to the voltage regulation circuit which his indicative of auxiliary output voltage. The voltage regulation circuit operates based on the feedback voltage and a reference voltage to adjust the auxiliary voltage to a level that differs from the input voltage from the inverter.

  • Patent number: 9119270
Abstract: Systems and method for detecting failure in solid state light sources and recovering from the failure are provided. A light engine including a controller circuit and strings of solid state light sources emits light in response to drive current provided by a driver circuit. The controller circuit monitors an output voltage of the driver circuit, and detects a failure of one of the solid state light sources. The failure is associated with a change in the output voltage of the driver circuit. The controller circuit then transmits a first signal to the driver circuit in response to detecting a failure, and the driver circuit is configured to decrease the drive current in response to the first signal.

  • Patent number: 9084322
Abstract: A bi-level current configurable driver is provided. The driver includes a feedback circuit, a driver circuit providing a driver signal to a half bridge inverter, and a step-dim interface coupled to a first alternating current input line, a second alternating current input line, and a neutral line, providing voltage to the driver circuit. The driver also includes a first feedforward circuit coupled to the step-dim interface, where the first feedforward circuit receives a first signal from the step-dim interface based on the states of the first alternating current input line, the second alternating current input line, and the neutral line. In a first state, the driver provides full current to a load, and in a second state, the driver provides less than full current to the load.

  • Patent number: 9006977
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting an incorrect load and preventing powering of that load, until a load change is detected, are disclosed. An incorrect load can be removed and a newly attached valid load can be operated without requiring a reset. A power supply or driver system for a lighting system including one or more solid state light sources includes the systems and methods. The power supply or driver system includes a processor and memory arrangement configured to detect whether a load is operable or non-operable while still being responsive to a new load being attached at any time, and to prevent the system from checking the same load more than once. These may be used in conjunction with features like auto-recovery, restart after faults, and load-hot-plug capability, while perhaps simultaneously reducing cyclical flashing of light output.

  • Publication number: 20150088611
Abstract: A passive measuring technique and system processes and analyzes imprecisely reported location estimates collected from a plurality of mobile devices. The number and socio-demographic composition of persons within defined areas of interest are estimated over time. Each mobile device is assigned to a group and identified by an anonymized identifier, and the identifiers of devices within each group are refreshed on a rolling basis to further enhance privacy. A statistical weighting approach is applied so that each device represents a fraction of the population and socio-demographic profile of one or more segmentation districts. Users requesting a defined area of interest via a communication network receive an estimate—derived by modeling respectively anonymized mobile devices within an area of interest over a selectable time period as corresponding, statistically weighted devices—of the number and socio-demographic profile of all persons within the area of interest over the selectable time period.
