Abstract: A watertight swimwear construction 10 for an article of swimwear 20 such as a bathing cap 21, a pair of men's swim trunks 22 and a woman's one-piece bathing suit 23 having at least one opening 24, 25, 26, or 27 which surrounds a portion of a swimmer. The periphery of the opening 24, 25, 26, or 27 is provided with an elongated strip of resilient material 31 having a plurality of suction cups 37 disposed in a side-by-side fashion on the front face 32 to prevent water, sand, etc., from passing through said opening.

Abstract: A modular covering system for a horse comprising a base member arranged formed of an elastic material so that it can be worn in tight conformity with the torso of the horse. The material of the base member is of low friction so that when the base member is in place it protects the portion of the horse over which it is disposed from chafing. The base member also comprises releasable securement components to enable various conforming coverings to be releasably secured to the base member. One covering comprises a back cover for covering the back and sides of the horse. Another covering comprises a full body cover made up of a back cover and a forward cover, with the forward cover being coextensive with the base member. Each covering may include releasable connector elements to releasably secure a liner panel thereunder.

Abstract: An anti-rub device (10, 100) securable to a horse for use under a horse blanket to protect a horse's coat includes a main body (12, 102) portion having a stretchable fabric for supporting a portion of a horse blanket thereon and securement means (13, 104) for securing the main body portion in tight conformity about the torso of the horse, with a portion of the main body portion (12, 102) surrounding the sides of the horse in regions of the points of the horse's front shoulders. A method of protecting the horse's coat also is disclosed.
