  • Patent number: 7585080
Abstract: A lens cover apparatus comprises a mounting structure, a lens cover, a pivot joint structure, and a spring. The mounting structure is configured for securing the lens cover apparatus to a support structure. The pivot joint structure is coupled between the mounting structure and the lens cover and configured for allowing multi-axis articulation of the lens cover with respect to the mounting structure. The spring is coupled between the pivot joint structure and the lens cover. The spring and the pivot joint structure are jointly configured for causing spring-biased multi-axis articulation of the lens cover between a use position thereof and a stowed position thereof in response to manual initiation of the articulation.

  • Publication number: 20090172991
Abstract: A targeting apparatus for a gun comprises a mirror assembly, a mounting base and a sighting device. The mirror assembly includes a single utilized mirror having a target imaging surface. The mounting base has the mirror assembly moveably attached thereto. The single utilized mirror is movable between a sighting device use position thereof with respect to the mounting base and a mirror use position thereof with respect to the mounting base. The sighting device is attached to the mirror assembly. The sighting device includes a sighting member configured for being aligned with a mating alignment member of a companion sighting device when the single utilized mirror is in the sighting device used position thereby enabling precision aiming through combined use of said sighting devices. The sighting member is independently adjustable for windage and for elevation.

  • Publication number: 20080276520
Abstract: A sighting device includes an aperture body having a sighting aperture therein. The sighting aperture includes four intersecting sides that jointly define horizontally opposing corners. A horizontal reference axis of the aperture body extends through the horizontally opposing corners such that a first pair of the sides are entirely above the horizontal reference axis and a second pair of the sides are entirely below the horizontal reference axis. The first pair of the sides define a corner vertically offset above the horizontal reference axis and equidistant between the horizontally opposing corners. The first pair of the sides are of approximately equal length.
