Abstract: A pressure-sensitive adhesive bonding element for use in wrapping plastic-insulated cables, comprising: a) a support layer, the support layer comprising a sheetlike fabric selected from the group consisting of velours, laid scrims, wovens and nonwovens, the sheetlike fabric comprising one or more synthetic fibres, b) an adhesive layer disposed on the support layer, the adhesive layer comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive, the pressure-sensitive adhesive, based on the mass thereof, comprising: i) one or more diene rubbers in a combined mass fraction of 40% or more, and ii) one or more tackifier resins in a combined mass fraction of 25% or more, wherein the tackifier resins in the pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises one or more terpene-phenol resins having a hydroxyl number of 80 mg KOH/g or less, the combined mass fraction of the terpene-phenol resins being 25% or more, based on the total mass of the tackifier resins in the pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Abstract: Reactive adhesive film for bonding various materials, including plastic to metal, the adhesive film comprising (a) a polymeric film-forming matrix, (b) at least one epoxide-functionalized (meth)acrylate or vinyl monomer and (c) a reagent selected from an initiator, in particular a free-radical initiator, or an activator. Further disclosed are reactive adhesive film systems comprising two reactive adhesive films. Methods for producing reactive adhesive films, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive strip containing at least one layer SK1 of a self-adhesive composition based on vinylaromatic block copolymer and containing tackifying resin, wherein the vinylaromatic block copolymer contains at least one polymer block A formed predominantly by polymerization of vinylaromatics, and simultaneously contains at least one polymer block B formed predominantly by polymerization of conjugated dienes, where the proportion of 1,2-bonded conjugated diene in the B block is less than 30% by weight, preferably less than 20% by weight. The invention also relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive strip of this kind, in which at least layer SK1 has been subjected to irradiation with electrons.

Abstract: A pressure-sensitive adhesive for bonding to various surfaces, such as metals, plastics, and also vehicle finishes, with rapid wetting and high adhesion, with good shear strengths and bond strengths under different conditions and without undergoing dewetting even under lasting mechanical load, comprises: a) at least 50 wt % of at least one polymer A whose monomer basis comprises the following monomers: a1) at least one (meth)acrylic ester having a homopolymer glass transition temperature of not more than ?60° C. and an alcohol component based on a branched, primary alcohol, having an iso index of 1; a2) at least one (meth)acrylic ester having an alcohol component based on a linear C1-C18 alcohol; a3) acrylic acid; b) at least 5 wt % of at least one synthetic rubber; and c) at least 10 wt % of at least one peel adhesion-reinforcing resin. Also disclosed is an adhesive tape comprising a foamed carrier and the pressure-sensitive adhesive.
