  • Patent number: 6471941
Abstract: A new synthetic porous crystalline material, designated ITQ-13, is disclosed having, in its calcined form, the X-ray diffraction pattern of Table 2 above. Also disclosed are methods of making ITQ-13 in its silicate and borosilicate forms in the presence of HF using hexamethonium dihydroxide as a directing agent and hydolyzed tetraethylorthosilicate as a silica source. Aluminum-containing ITQ-13 can be produced by Al exchange of the borosilicate material. ITQ-13 is useful as an acid catalyst and as an adsorbent.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 29, 2001
Date of Patent: October 29, 2002
Assignee: ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company
Inventors: Teresa Boix, Marta Puche, Miguel A. Camblor, Avelino Corma
  • Patent number: 6471939
Abstract: A new synthetic porous crystalline material, designated ITQ-12, is disclosed having, in its calcined form, the X-ray diffraction pattern of Table 2 herein. Also disclosed are methods of making ITQ-12 in its silicate, aluminosilicate and borosilicate forms in the presence of HF using 1,3,5-trimethylimidazole as a directing agent and hydolyzed tetraethylorthosilicate as a silica source. ITQ-12 is useful in the conversion of methanol to olefins and as an adsorbent.
