    Abstract: Chronic pain or neuropathic pain (NP) is associated with sleep disorders, and in turn sleep disorders increase pain such as neuropathic pain. A limited number of drugs are available for treating NP associated insomnia, and side effects are common. The present application describes methods and uses based on CBD and analogs/derivatives thereof for the management of insomnia and/or sleep disorders associated to all types of chronic and/or NP. The present application also relates to the management of disorders associated with REM sleep using a CB1 inhibitor. The present application also relates to the use of sleep electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis for the assessment of chronic pain/NP.
