  • Patent number: 9053438
Abstract: Systems and methods of analyzing energy consumption using node similarity are disclosed. An example of a method may be carried out by program code stored on non-transient computer-readable medium and executed by a processor. The method includes assigning a similarity score to a plurality of nodes using at least one of: domain based rules, attribute based similarity metrics, and machine learning. The method also includes identifying a similar node from the plurality of nodes, for a node under consideration, based on the similarity score. The method also includes determining energy consumption of the node under consideration based on energy consumption of the similar node.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 2011
Date of Patent: June 9, 2015
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L. P.
Inventors: Manish Marwah, Geoff Lyon, Martha Lyons, Chandrakant Patel, Cullen Bash
  • Patent number: 8812427
Abstract: Systems and methods of disaggregating power load are provided. An example of a method is carried out by program code stored on non-transient computer-readable medium and executed by a processor. The method includes receiving time series data representing total energy consumption. The method also includes identifying distinguishing features in the time series data. The method also includes identifying energy consumption constituents of the total energy consumption based on the features.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 19, 2014
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
Inventors: Hyungsul Kim, Manish Marwah, Martin Arlitt, Geoff Lyon, Martha Lyons, Chandrakant Patel, Cullen Bash

  • Patent number: 7788064
Abstract: Provided are, among other things, systems, methods and techniques for facilitating visual analysis of data relationships. Initially, a set of data values is obtained, and a graphical display of the data values is output, with different display points corresponding to different data values. A user selection of an area encompassing at least a portion of the graphical display is input, and data correlation analyses are performed between data values within the selected area other sets of data values. Graphs are then displayed based on results of the data correlation analyses.

  • Patent number: 7779344
Abstract: There is provided a system and method for creating a value-based stacked bar chart. More specifically, in one embodiment, there is provided a computer readable medium comprising code adapted to sort a plurality of data entries by transaction value, wherein the plurality of data entries correspond to a stack type; code adapted to assign each of the plurality of data entries to one or more cells associated with the stack type, code adapted to assign a color to the one or more cells, and code adapted to shade the color of a subset of the one or more cells based on the transaction value of the data entries assigned to the cells in the subset.

  • Patent number: 7760203
Abstract: Provided are, among other things, systems, methods and techniques for displaying data by accessing a set of data records that have associated indexes and generating pixels to represent the data records, the colors of the pixels being based on attribute values of the data records. The pixels are arranged into lines based on the associated indexes, with each line corresponding to a segment of indexes and adjacent lines corresponding to adjacent segments, and the arranged pixels are displayed.

  • Publication number: 20070096906
Abstract: An aspect of the present invention is a method of monitoring a package. The method includes mounting a transponder on the package, the transponder having at least two signal transmission devices and emitting a first output signal configuration on the signal transmission devices when the integrity of the package is intact and emitting a second output signal configuration on the signal transmission devices if the integrity of the package has been compromised.

  • Publication number: 20030182168
Abstract: Virtual real-time affinity diagramming collaboration by a remotely distributed team of participants has posting a collaboration context on a virtual white board, visible to each of the participants in real time; generating, by each of the participants, virtual sticky notes for brainstorming ideas of that participant; moving the virtual sticky notes to the virtual white board; categorizing the virtual sticky notes into groups on the virtual white board; and labeling the groups to provide categories of the brainstorming ideas, expressed by the virtual sticky notes, in each of the groups.
