Publication number: 20240381080Abstract: Systems and methods for secure authentication information retrieval. In some aspects, the system receives a request for accessing authentication information for an authentication token. The system retrieves a user profile for the user comprising token identifiers for authentication tokens associated with the user and authentication information for each authentication token. The system receives an indication that a near field communication (NFC) interaction has been initiated between the user device and the authentication token. The system determines whether the authentication token is associated with the user and renders the authentication information into a graphical overlay. The system may additionally transmit the graphical overlay for displaying the authentication information over an image of the authentication token captured via an imaging sensor included in the user device.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2023Publication date: November 14, 2024Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Martin FIGUEROA-RAMIREZ, Jennifer KWOK, Susan Hogan DAVIS, Tara Ann HICKEY

Patent number: 12073460Abstract: Disclosed embodiments pertain to determining and communicating purchasing power through a visualization. A trained machine learning model can be invoked on a credit card without a preset limit to predict a dynamic spending limit based on credit card data or credit score data. Purchasing power can be computed as the difference between the dynamic spending limit and a current balance, and a purchase power class can be determined based on the purchasing power. Further, a graphic representation of a purchasing power class can be determined. Subsequently, presentation of the graphic representation can be triggered in a manner that overlays the graphic representation on or around the physical card.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2022Date of Patent: August 27, 2024Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Martin Figueroa-Ramirez, Jennifer Kwok, Susan Hogan Davis, Tara Ann Hickey

Patent number: 5184299Abstract: A motor speed controller for an antilock brake system motor driven brake pressure modulator controls the speed during the pressure ramping phase of an antilock brake pressure control cycle by commanding periods of dynamic braking of the motor while the motor current is being controlled to ramp the pressure.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1990Date of Patent: February 2, 1993Assignees: General Motors Corporation, Deleco Electronics CorporationInventors: Martin A. Patent number: 5147115Abstract: In an antilock braking system, when wheel parameters including slip represent an incipient wheel lockup condition normally calling for a release of brake pressure during a pressure apply mode of an antilock braking cycle and the duration of the pressure apply mode is less than a predetermined threshold representing an abnormal rapid cycling of the brake pressure, the wheel slip threshold representing an incipient wheel lockup condition is increased, the rate of increase in brake pressure during the brake pressure apply mode is set to a high level and the pressure apply mode is continued during which the wheel brake pressure is ramped at the increased rate. These steps are repeated while the wheel parameters represent an incipient wheel lockup condition normally calling for a release of brake pressure until the time of the pressure apply mode equals the predetermined threshold representing a normal brake pressure cycling period.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1991Date of Patent: September 15, 1992Assignee: General Motors CorporationInventors: Kevin G. Patent number: 5106171Abstract: The current to the motor of a motor driven pressure modulator of an antilock brake system is controlled at a high value in response to a sensed incipient wheel lock condition so as to rapidly release the brake pressure for a calibrated time period that is a function of wheel parameters to reduce brake pressure by an amount determined to effect a recovery from the incipient wheel lock condition under normal antilock controlled braking. After the calibrated time period, the motor is braked so as to quickly halt its rotation and therefore the rapid pressure reduction by applying a motor brake current to the motor by controlling the motor current in the pressure apply direction. The duration of this rapid reduction of brake pressure and therefore the amount of pressure reduction is independent of a sensed recovery condition of the wheel and is based solely on an open loop calibration value determined to effect wheel recovery from the incipient wheel lock condition.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 1990Date of Patent: April 21, 1992Assignees: General Motors Corporation, Delco Electronics Corp.Inventors: Kevin G. Leppek, Martin A. Hogan, Peter J. Spadafora

Patent number: 5102207Abstract: The period of an initial apply motor current in each apply phase of an antilock brake pressure cycle in a motor driven pressure modulator antilock braking system is adaptively controlled following a sensed recovery from an incipient wheel lockup condition to establish substantially a steady state condition relationship between current and pressure before motor current is ramped to ramp brake pressure. The period of the initial apply motor current is made a function of the amount of pressure decrease during a prior release phase portion of the antilock brake cycle to account for the greater increase in brake pressure to the initial reapply value.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1990Date of Patent: April 7, 1992Assignees: General Motors Corporation, Delco Electronics CorporationInventors: Kevin G. Leppek, Martin A. Hogan, Peter J. Spadafora, Alan J. Lee

Patent number: 5080447Abstract: A schedule of brake pressure ramp rates is provided in a vehicle antilock brake controller as a function of predetermined wheel parameters. The ramp rates associated with the specific values of the wheel parameters are filtered by limiting the changes in ramp rate to a next higher ramp rate from the schedule of rates when the ramp rate called for by the wheel parameters is greater than the present ramp rate and to a next lower ramp rate from the schedule of rates when the ramp rate called for by the wheel parameters is less than the present ramp rate.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 1990Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Assignees: General Motors Corporation, Delco Electronics CorporationInventors: Kevin G. Leppek, Martin A. Hogan, Peter J. Spadafora, Alan J. Lee

Patent number: 4943283Abstract: An apparatus for collecting blood or other body fluid from a donor, in which a length of tubing has a first needle on one end for insertion into the vein of a donor, and a frangible joint between the ends of the tubing to separate the length of tubing into first and second parts. The frangible joint includes a combination needle shield and test tube receptacle on one end of the first part, disposed coaxially to a second needle used to fill test tubes with material drawn through the first needle. The combination shield and test tube receptacle is adapted to receive a test tube therein for operative relationship with the second needle so that the test tube may be filled with the material. A second shield is slidable on the tubing and has a retracted position adjacent the frangible joint and an operative position extended over the first needle when that needle is withdrawn from the vein.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 1988Date of Patent: July 24, 1990Assignee: City of HopeInventor: J. Patent number: 4935011Abstract: A multi-panel shield or sheath constructed to define an envelope into which an intravenous needle having a sharpened cannula may be withdrawn upon removal from a vein. The envelope has a compression flap adapted to overlie the venipuncture site while the needle is being withdrawn from the vein, whereby a nurse, doctor or other person using the device may exert pressure on the venipuncture site as the needle is being withdrawn. A gripping panel is also provided to facilitate holding of the sheath as the needle is being retracted into the envelope. After the needle has been withdrawn into the shield envelope, the panels may be folded over one another to completely enclose the needle for subsequent handling and/or disposal. In some embodiments of the inventions a non-folding sheath defining an envelope is utilized. Other embodiments have no compression panel.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 1988Date of Patent: June 19, 1990Assignee: City of HopeInventor: J. Martin Hogan
