  • Patent number: 11914193
Abstract: An optical assembly includes stacked planar lightwave circuit (PLC) members each having a plurality of waveguides in a respective plane, to provide optical connections to two-dimensional arrays of external optical waveguides (e.g., optical fiber cores), with one array including non-coplanar groups of waveguides having group members that are alternately arranged in a lateral direction. An optical assembly may provide optical connections between array of cores having a different pitch and/or orientation to serve as a fanout interface. Methods for fabricating an optical assembly are further provided.

  • Patent number: 6931784
Abstract: An improved means for adjusting the angle of attack, the angle of the plane of the diving lip to the longitudinal axis of a lure, of a diving lip on a fishing lure, having a body with a longitudinal axis, comprised of a retention spring, a pivot pin, and a series of grooves in the face of the lure into which the diving lip seats, so that the angle of attack of the diving lip can be readily changed by pulling the diving lip out of a groove, by compressing the retention spring, moving to another groove and releasing it.

  • Patent number: 5668904
Abstract: A reusable fiber optic connector for splicing, coupling, and connecting fiber optic cables without the use of adhesives or epoxies. The connector includes a retaining collet having a centrally disposed bore sized to receive the outer protective jacket of a fiber optic cable therethrough. The retaining collet being arranged to threadedly engage the compression bore of a connector frame, wherein as the retaining collet is threadedly advanced into the compression bore of the connector frame, the retaining collet is compressed against the outer protective jacket of a fiber optic cable. A retaining collet so compressed secures the fiber optic cable in proper position relative to the connector frame. In order to urge the fiber optic connector, including connector frame with fiber optic cable secured by the retaining collet, toward a coupling device such as a patch pad or coupling block, biasing means comprising a spring coaxially disposed about the connector frame and a cap are provided.
