  • Publication number: 20240126097
Abstract: Glasses have a lens arrangement, a glasses frame, and at least one pivot point for joining together the lens arrangement and the glasses frame by pivoting them relative to one another, wherein the glasses frame has a nose support device for support against a nose of a glasses wearer, and wherein the lens arrangement has a nose support device receptacle which, in the joined-together state of the lens arrangement and the glasses frame, receives the nose support device.

  • Patent number: 5121023
Abstract: In an ultrasonic generator the driver circuit of a piezoelectric converter is provided with a switching regulator under control of a microcomputer, the pulse duty factor and frequency of the switching regulator being controlled in response to the converter's impedance which is detected by means of a measuring circuit.

  • Patent number: 4919913
Abstract: The process for producing silicon suitable for use in solar cells is improved by reacting a gaseous silicon compound with aluminum wherein a finely dispersed molten surface of pure aluminum or an aluminum/silicon alloy is intensively contacted with the gaseous silicon compound during the reaction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 3, 1989
Date of Patent: April 24, 1990
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 4525334
Abstract: A process for the production of silicon comprising reacting a gaseous silicon compound of the formula SiH.sub.n X.sub.4-n, wherein X is halogen and n is 0 to 3, with aluminum in solid state. The resulting silicon can be highly pure and will have the particle size of the aluminum feed, making it especially useful for production of solar cells.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 13, 1984
Date of Patent: June 25, 1985
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 4008928
Abstract: A self-aligning pod bearing assembly includes a cylindrical casing forming a socket for a bead-shaped porous bearing which is urged against the socket by means of a resilient bearing retainer which fits between a shoulder portion of the casing and the spherical bearing. The inside of the casing is filled with wicking material exposed through the bearing retainer to an oil slinger mounted for rotation with the shaft adjacent the end of the bearing contacted by the retainer and another oil slinger rotationally mounted on the shaft adjacent the other end of the bearing. In the preferred embodiments the outer diameter of the casing is formed by the same casing member which forms the interior bearing socket thus insuring coaxiality of the nominal bearing axis and the outer diameter of the casing.
