  • Publication number: 20160095996
Abstract: Nasal interface systems and related components. An embodiment of the system employs a nasal interface comprised of a base portion and a soft pad portion. The base portion employs one or more side-entry fluid supply hoses and flow redirection structure which gently and quietly redirects the flow of incoming fluid to avoid the creation of noise. One or more fluid supply hoses are connected to the one or more inlets, preferably by releasable engagement structure. The nasal interfaces of the invention are sleek, unobtrusive, visibly attractive and avoid exposure of expelled gases toward partners of the wearer.

  • Publication number: 20150320959
Abstract: A nasal interface includes a base and a flexible, unitary pad connected to the base. The base defines at least one gas inlet and the pad includes a pair of wing portions positioned at an angle relative to each other. Each wing portion has an upper surface devoid of any protrusion and defines at least one hole through which a gas entering the wing portion from the base exits the wing portion. The pad also includes a connecting portion that interconnects the two wing portions and is interposed between the holes of the wing portions. The flexibility of the pad permits joint and independent movement of the upper surfaces of the wing portions relative to the base. In one embodiment, the pad is removably connected to the base. In another embodiment, the pad includes a bellows portion to provide the pad's flexibility.

  • Publication number: 20120012186
Abstract: An evaporation chamber comprises a trough and an intermediate chamber disposed above the trough. The bottom of the intermediate chamber includes a liquid outlet through which liquid flows from the intermediate chamber into the trough. The intermediate chamber comprises a level valve, which allows a flow of liquid to follow from a liquid connection into the intermediate chamber so that the liquid level in the intermediate chamber is between a minimum level and a maximum level. The intermediate chamber has a liquid connection, a level valve, and a compensation connection. The liquid connection supplies a liquid. The level valve, allows a flow of liquid to follow from the liquid connection into the intermediate chamber so that the liquid level in the intermediate chamber is between a minimum level and a maximum level. • Publication number: 20110100362
Abstract: This invention relates to pneumatic shunt resistance, comprising a block (2) having a gas-containing longitudinal cavity (4) intersected by a likewise longitudinal measurement cavity (6). The two cavities are arranged such that the measurement cavity (6) intersects the gas-containing cavity (4) so as to define a sectional region, wherein, in sections perpendicular to its longitudinal extension, the measurement cavity (6) has a similar cross-section in the sectional region of the two cavities. The pneumatic shunt resistance moreover comprises a resistor (13) located in the sectional region of the two cavities and having a shape similar to that of the measurement cavity (6) at this point, so that a gap remains between the wall of the resistor (13) and the wall of the measurement cavity. Furthermore, this invention relates to gas mixers having two flow control loops and one block, thereby reducing the number of tubes.
