  • Patent number: 9421524
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for producing carbon, metal and/or metal oxide porous materials that have precisely controlled structures on the nanometer and micrometer scales. The methods involve the single or repeated infiltration of porous templates with metal salts at controlled temperatures, the controlled drying and decomposition of the metal salts under reducing conditions, and optionally the removal of the template. The carbon porous materials are involve the infiltration of a carbon precursor into a porous template, followed by polymerization and pyrolysis. These porous materials have utility in separations, catalysis, among others.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 4, 2013
Date of Patent: August 23, 2016
Assignee: Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama
Inventors: Martin Bakker, Franchessa Maddox Sayler, Amy Grano, Jan-Henrik Smått

  • Publication number: 20060150420
Abstract: Shaving apparatus having a skin contact surface (9,15,16) accommodating at least one cutting unit (3) comprising an external stationary cutting member (4) and a matching internal cutting member (6) and a device (18-20) for providing a shaving aid to said skin contact surface (9,15,16), wherein shaving aid retaining means (35,48) are provided on at least part of said skin contact surface (9,15,16).

  • Patent number: 5032853
Abstract: A method of forming a multi-color image, comprising image elements in a first color which along at least part of their circumference adjoin image elements of one or more following colors wherein separation images in the first, second, third and any following color are each built up from image dot patterns of colored toner powder. The separation images are transferred to an intermediate support to collect said separate images to form a multi-color image. The multi-color image is then transferred from the intermediate support to an image receiving material. The second and each following generated separation image is generated so that the image elements, which on transfer onto the intermediate support are required to adjoin image elements of a separation image already transferred thereto previously, at least partially overlap said previously transferred image elements.

  • Patent number: 4623602
Abstract: A colored magnetically attractable toner powder in which the individual toner particles comprise a core containing magnetically attractable material, a light-reflecting layer which envelops the core and comprises light-reflecting pigment, yellow-fluorescent dye and a binder in which the dye fluoresces, and a coloring layer which covers the light-reflecting layer and comprises yellow-fluorescent dye, optionally in an admixture with other fluorescent dye or dyes or pigments, and a binder in which the fluorescent dye or dyes fluoresce(s).
