  • Patent number: 7448326
Abstract: Apparatus for transporting printing paper rolls includes a frame for accommodating a printing paper roll, and a moving mechanism having a plurality of running wheels mounted on the frame and supporting the frame on a floor. The wheels can be aligned for travel in a first direction on a pair of first running rails on the floor, parallel to a printing press. When the frame is lifted by a lifting device so that the wheels are above the first rails, the wheels can be adjusted for travel in a second direction on a pair of second running rails which extend perpendicular to the first running rails.

  • Publication number: 20060157612
Abstract: An apparatus for transporting printing paper rolls includes a main frame and a satellite frame. The main frame is movable in a first direction along a press, either on its own or together with the satellite frame. The satellite frame is movable in a second direction, approximately perpendicular to the first direction, and independently of the main frame. A lifting device is arranged in the main frame to lift the satellite frame accommodated in the main frame off a floor. The lifting device is constructed such that a satellite frame can be lifted by the main frame to a level above a satellite frame positioned on the floor.

  • Publication number: 20060102768
Abstract: A system and method for fully automatic unpacking of a printing-paper roll is disclosed. The system includes a) a station for automatic removal of end cover packagings from a packed printing-paper roll, b) a station for automatic severing of the circumferential packaging on a printing-paper roll, c) a station for automatic removal of the severed circumferential packaging, and d) a conveying device which moves a packed printing-paper roll automatically into the station for removal of the end cover packagings, automatically moves the printing-paper roll from the station for removal of the end cover packagings into the station for severing the circumferential packaging, automatically moves the printing-paper roll from the station for severing the circumferential packaging into the station for removal of the circumferential packaging, and moves the unpacked printing-paper roll automatically out of the station for removal of the circumferential packaging.

  • Patent number: 6770845
Abstract: This invention refers to a supporting structure (10) for sheet material as sheet metal material (100) cut out by a laser device (200) located above the sheet material and focused on the same, with means of movement between the laser device and the sheet material and/or supporting structure. The supporting structure substantially comprises vertically mounted parallel rows of identical narrow sheet strips (12), each having raised integrated support areas (22) for the sheet material (100) between recessed grooves (20). To increase the life time of the sheet strips and therefore the life of the supporting structure, and at the same time to prevent damage to the underside of the sheet material as sheet metal, needles (24) are set onto the integrated support areas (22) of the sheet strips (12), the free ends of which form points of support (26) for the sheet material (100) laid upon them.

  • Patent number: 6308584
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for introducing a particulate material, for example pellets, granules or powder, into a liquid, and a cartridge and a device for carrying out this process. The material is introduced into a cartridge having a sleeve, an axis and a base arranged in the interior of the sleeve and displaceable along the axis away from a stop. Thereafter, the cartridge, in a position in which its axis is approximately perpendicular and the base rests against the stop under its own weight, is allowed to fall into the liquid, the cartridge being guided by a guide tube. On immersion in the liquid, the base is displaced upward away from the stop by the liquid, with the result that the material is ejected at least for the most part from the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 5765989
Abstract: A method and apparatus for preparing a sheet stack for automated processing in a sheet-fed machine; comprising manipulating a sheet stack and transportation pallet to a release position; removing the transportation pallet, and placing a system pallet adjacent the sheet stack so that it is ready for further processing. The apparatus includes structure performing these functions.

  • Patent number: 5647725
Abstract: A method and apparatus for preparing a sheet stack for automated processing, wherein a sheet stack and transportation pallet are deposited on a system pallet, the resulting stack is manipulated to a release position where the transportation pallet is freed, the freed transportation pallet is removed, and the sheet stack and system pallet are conveyed away for further processing. The apparatus includes structure for carrying out these steps.

  • Patent number: 5322272
Abstract: A sheet delivery device is provided that allows for high output and accurate operation during changing of the main stack. The device includes two secondary stack carriers which are normally disposed on opposite sides of the main stack in a first lateral waiting position. The secondary stack carriers are reciprocally moveable between the first lateral waiting position and an operative position. In the operative position, the secondary stack carriers accumulate a secondary stack while the main stack is being changed. This secondary stack is later deposited on the new main stack. Cooperating with the secondary stack carriers are separating elements normally disposed above the secondary stack carriers in a second lateral waiting position. The separating elements are reciprocally moveable between the second lateral waiting position and a separating position. In the separating position, the elements accumulate a temporary stack to form an entry gap above the main stack.
