  • Publication number: 20090000466
Abstract: A method to actively trigger a servo valve of a hydraulic power steering system is disclosed herein. In the method, a present steering wheel torque is ascertained by a sensor. The method also includes the step of a desired rack-and-pinion force offset is specified. The method also includes the step of a desired steering wheel torque offset is specified. The method also includes the step of a desired shape of a power steering characteristic curve is specified. On the basis of the specified offset values, the ascertained steering wheel torque and the specified shape of the power steering characteristic curve, a setpoint is ascertained for a differential pressure at a hydraulic cylinder of the power steering system. Based on the steering wheel torque and on the setpoint for the differential pressure at the hydraulic cylinder, a setpoint is ascertained for a setting angle (?) of a valve component.

  • Patent number: 7384053
Abstract: A system for rolling angle reduction in a motor vehicle includes a stabilizer (10) and a piston/cylinder unit (12) coupled to one end of the stabilizer (10). The cylinder (14) of the piston/cylinder unit (12) is mounted in a hollow joint (24) so as to be swivellable in several directions.

  • Patent number: 7171888
Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder comprising a cylinder, a piston which is adjustable in the cylinder, and at least one pressure connection which is disposed in the vicinity of an end position of the piston and through which a pressure fluid can be introduced into the cylinder, is characterized in that the piston is provided with a valve element which can cooperate with the pressure connection, in order to cover the pressure connection when the piston approaches its end position, and in order to uncover the pressure connection when pressure fluid is introduced into the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 7100638
Abstract: In a valve for a hydraulic power steering, comprising a first valve element and a second valve element which from a central position can be rotatably displaced relative to each other to a limited extent in the one or other direction in order to generate a steering assistance, it is provided that one of the valve elements can be rotatably displaced from a neutral position into the one or other direction relative to an associated shaft and that a coupling mechanism is provided which limits the displacement in rotation of the valve element relative to the shaft and urges the valve element into the neutral position.
