  • Patent number: 10388475
Abstract: A switch, in particular a grounding switch, is for quickly establishing a ground connection and for extinguishing an arc fault for a switching system. The grounding switch includes at least one fixed contact having a first cable feed, a moving contact, a contact guide having a second cable feed, and a mechanical energy store. In the opened state, an insulating distance between the fixed contact and the moving contact, is filled with insulation liquid, at least in part. The switch further includes a triggering device and a locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 10043623
Abstract: A device is disclosed for transmission of forces on a moving contact connecting bolt of a contact system including a switching unit with a moving contact and a further contact. The device includes an at least partially flexible conductor element for electrical connection of the moving contact connecting bolt to a connection of the switching unit and at least one first branch and a second branch. The branches are arranged for reciprocal current flow to generate an electromagnetic force. The invention the second branch is guided along and retained on a support plate firmly connected to the moving contact connecting bolt such that an electromagnetic force occurring in a short-circuit is introduceable between the first branch and the second branch for increasing a contact pressure exerted by a contact pressure spring in the moving contact connecting bolt, the support plate being slidably movable in the housing of the switching unit.

  • Patent number: 6486420
Abstract: Disconnector contact drive devices for switchgear for power supply and distribution are described, in particular for air-insulated medium-voltage switchgear, having movable pole units. In where in a first movement sequence, the disconnector contacts are separated from fixed mating contacts of the switchgear. In a second movement sequence, the pole units are displaceable to achieve the isolating distance, and the disconnect contacts are moved to disconnect them by force components acting in the x/y directions. The disconnector contact drive devices are equipped with linear guide shafts. The pole units contain pole box frames which are linearly movable along the guide shafts from an ON position stop to an OFF position stop due to the forces acting on the toggles. The toggles each have four pivot bearings.

  • Patent number: 6462296
Abstract: A circuit breaker arrangement, in particular, an air-insulated medium-voltage switching arrangement having function features including “circuit breaking,” “disconnection” and “grounding” features, is described. The circuit breaker arrangement includes a switching module that is formed from function-oriented modular components. The module components including a base module component, a pole module component and a drive module component. The base module component is fixedly connected with the drive module component; the pole module component is arranged so as to be movable in a strait line thereon. Such a circuit breaker arrangement is used for energy supply and distribution, in particular, in medium voltage technology.

  • Patent number: 4845460
Abstract: A multipole low-voltage circuit breaker with an insulating material housing and arc quenching chambers. By a new mechanical design, the installation of the arc quenching devices is to be facilitated. All arc quenching chambers of a switchgear are arranged in a quenching chamber housing which is subdivided by partitions and is fastened to the insulating material housing of a circuit breaker. The quenching baffles are fastened directly to the walls of the arc quenching chambers. A low-voltage circuit breaker with an insulating material housing of compact design is thus provided.

  • Patent number: 4845459
Abstract: A contact arrangement of a low-voltage circuit breakeer with electrodynamic breaking or opening. In contact arrangements which contain a compression spring for pretensioning a contact lever into the make position or after a dead center position is passed, the assembly is to be simplified and the use of an assembly fixture is to be made unnecessary. The pivot bearing of a contact lever at a contact lever carrier is formed by a pan-like depression of the contact lever carrier as well as an extension of the contact lever engaging the depression. Furthermore, a stop surface for the open position of the contact lever is arranged at the contact lever carrier. A brief application of force is sufficient for connecting the contact lever to the contact lever carrier. A current-limiting low-voltage circuit breaker of compact design is thus provided.
