  • Patent number: 10891234
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for cache partitioning to accelerate concurrent workload performance of in-memory databases. An embodiment operates by storing a first bitmask, associating the first bitmask with a first processor core, setting a subset of the bits of the first bitmask, wherein the subset of the bits of the first bitmask represents a first portion of shared last-level cache, and wherein any part of the first bitmask excluding the subset of the bits of the first bitmask represents a second portion of the lowest-level cache, and disallowing eviction of any cache line in the second portion of the lowest-level cache by the first processor core.

  • Patent number: 10737594
Abstract: The invention relates to a foot prop adapted to be attached to a child safety seat, comprising an elongate component, comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion is slidable relative to the upper portion in longitudinal direction of the elongate component. The foot prop is configured such that a force applied in the longitudinal direction causes the lower portion to automatically move away from the upper portion whenever the force exceeds a predetermined threshold, so that the length of the elongate component is increased; and the foot prop is configured such that the lower and the upper portion are releasably blocked against relative movement towards one another. The invention further relates to a seat base and a child safety seat comprising a foot prop.

  • Publication number: 20120180751
Abstract: An oil supply device for a crankcase of an internal combustion engine feeds oil from a reservoir to a main oil duct of the crankcase. A filter switching device allows a selection from a plurality of oil filter units in the flow path of the oil to be selectively connected into the oil flow path, to set a proportion of the oil filter units to active and a proportion of the oil filter units to passive. A switching unit switches between the active and passive states and opens up a pressurized oil flow path to the active oil filter unit(s) and also a drainage flow path between the passive oil filter unit(s) and a drainage duct. An evacuation device drains or evacuates oil from the drainage duct which has accumulated at the passive oil filter unit(s).

  • Patent number: 4530327
Abstract: An electric control device in the form of a final control element for fuel injection pumps for internal combustion engines is protected in the interior of its housing from having the parts it contains inundated by lubricant originating in the interior of the injection pump. This protection is effected in that a suction device driven by the camshaft is disposed in the interior and aspirates lubricant originating in the injection pump and returns it then. The suction device has a rotating part driven by the camshaft, and at its lowest point in the sump it has a sliding shoe which under spring pressure rests at the rear on the rotating part and is so embodied that lubricant adhering to the rotating part reaches a gap and from there is transported back into the injection pump via a drainage hose containing a check valve.

  • Patent number: 4286559
Abstract: A pneumatic diaphragm control member is proposed for a fuel injection device for internal combustion engines, especially for a boost-pressure dependent full-load stop, wherein the initial and end positions of a push rod provided with a control diaphragm and movable against a resetting spring can be varied, and wherein the effective pressure range is variable by means of separate adjusting means which do not affect one another. The push rod of the diaphragm control member contacts, in the unpressurized starting position, a stop screw mounted in the lid cover, and, in the pressurized end position, is in contact, by means of a counter stop attached to an extension of the push rod and adjustable in the direction of motion of the push rod, with a second end stop arranged in the pressure chamber. Thus, the bias of the resetting spring can be changed by changing the position of a bearing bushing for the push rod, which bushing serves as an abutment.

  • Patent number: 4014266
Abstract: A transport track and a sliding carriage for transporting heavy loads in substantially horizontal direction. The track comprising a bottom plate intended to be positioned loosely on a support capable to bear heavy loads. The upper surface of the plate and the lower surface of the sliding carriage being designed so as to provide minimum resistance to the movement of the sliding carriage over the surface. At least one rod is attached to the bottom plate which rod is adapted for cooperation with a climbing jack intended for moving the carriage and with a guide groove in the carriage for guiding the carriage during the movement. Structure is also arranged for transferring axial forces arising in the rod to the bottom plate.
