Patent number: 10900604Abstract: A security box for a pipe assembly includes a chest having a first wall and a second wall, together at least partially defining an interior, and a lid configured to engage the chest. The lid has an open position relative to the chest for permitting access to the interior of the chest, and a closed position in which the lid at least partially restricts access to the interior of the chest. At least when the lid is in the closed position, a first hole defined at least partially in the first wall aligns with a second hole defined at least partially in the second wall. The first hole and the second hole are defined at opposite ends of the security box. The holes are defined in part by cutouts defined in edges of the walls of chest and in part by cutouts defined in edges of the lid.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2019Date of Patent: January 26, 2021Inventor: Perry Martin Boyd

Patent number: 10641691Abstract: A thin film vessel useable in gravimetric methods for measuring the total dissolved solids or total solids in a liquid sample, or the moisture content of a solid sample. The vessel includes a main body formed of a thin walled polymeric material having a melting temperature greater than 180° C. The main body comprises an open top edge and a sealed bottom edge which define an inner cavity configured to hold a volume of liquid, and indicia applied to a portion of the main body, wherein the indicia include a tare weight of the vessel.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2019Date of Patent: May 5, 2020Assignee: Environmental Express, Inc.Inventors: Edward Jino Kim, Joseph Martin Boyd, David Alan Smith

Patent number: 9098647Abstract: Some embodiments provide a three dimensional (3D) media-editing application for dynamically presenting different views of a 3D project that includes one or more objects disbursed throughout a 3D space. A dynamic display provides the dynamic views upon the occurrence of specified triggering events. In some embodiments, the dynamic display appears within the 3D media-editing application throughout the duration of the triggering event and is removed upon completion of the triggering event. The dynamic display of some embodiments shows edits to the 3D project from a predicted angle or viewing perspective that best conveys the objects of the 3D project in conjunction with the actions of the triggering event without duplicating views presented in one or more static workspace windows of the 3D media-editing application.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2008Date of Patent: August 4, 2015Assignee: APPLE INC.Inventors: Martin Boyd, Gregory Niles

Patent number: 7518611Abstract: A library can store different types of multimedia objects, including effects (for example, behaviors, filters, fonts, and particle effects) and content (for example, audio clips, video clips, and still images). The library can store both pre-defined objects and objects that have been created by a user. The library is extensible, so that it can store objects of unknown type.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 2006Date of Patent: April 14, 2009Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Martin Boyd, Stephen Sheeler

Patent number: 7411590Abstract: An automatically readable medium encoded with a time-based media file which comprises a factory object which uniquely identifies the instantiation of an object of a particular type. The factory object can be one of the following: a scene object; a behavior object; or a filter object. The scene object can include at least one of the following: global setting for the scene; or the last settings used to render to a resulting time-based media file. The scene object can ultimately contain a reference to media used by the object. A scene object can include a reference to another scene object.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2004Date of Patent: August 12, 2008Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Martin Boyd, Stephen Sheeler

Patent number: 6918603Abstract: A novel solution for converting a walk behind floor scrubber into a sit and ride behind floor scrubber. The present invention consists of a chassis frame to which five wheels are attached. Two of the front wheels pivot and the up-front safety wheel does not. The wheels that are attached to the rear of the frame, are non-pivotal. A person sits on the cushioned seat. Upon grabbing the floor scrubber's control handles and rotating them forward the floor scrubber, as it propells forward, pulls the present invention behind it in tandem. This allows the operator for the floor scrubber to sit and rid instead of walking, while cleaning large commercial size floors. This new procedure saves enormous time and the person controlling the scrubber will be less fatigued from hours of walking. The Scrub-mate is new to the floor cleaning industry, because it eliminates walking of the operator while using a battery-powered walk behind floor scrubber.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2003Date of Patent: July 19, 2005Inventor: George Martin Boyd
