  • Patent number: 8637839
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a method for operating a particle therapy system. The particle therapy system includes a particle generation device, a beam generating device for generating a particle beam from at least one portion of the generated irradiation particles, a measuring device for automatically measuring a particle beam intensity of the particle beam, and a particle beam influencing device. The particle beam influencing device is configured to adjust the particle beam intensity as a function of the measured particle beam intensity and a predefined setpoint value for the particle beam intensity.

  • Patent number: 4779842
Abstract: There is provided a height adjustable rubber pot bearing for supporting or lifting bridges. The pot bearing has an elastomer plate for transmitting and lifting or lowering loads wherein pressurized fluid is introduced between the bottom of the pot and the elastomer plate to displace the elastomer plate. A narrow slot is provided extending around the plate a small distance from and parallel with the inner side of the pot. The slot opens downwardly and has a depth of three-fourths of the plate thickness. A circular cylindrical insert is provided in the slot consisting of two parallel strips joined at their top edge with a space between them, the bottom edges of the strips being angled at right angles to form edge strips extending parallel with the bottom in opposing directions.

  • Patent number: 4420179
Abstract: A wheel for rail vehicles with at least one disc which is connected to an axle, and with a wheel rim having a tread or surface surrounding the disc, while the rail tread in engagement with the rim tread results in contacting points of the wheel during straight forward drive of the vehicle located on the tread or track of the rails. At least within that region of the rim which contains the above mentioned rail contacting points of the wheel rim the wheel rim is turnably connected to the disc for turning about an imaginary axis located in about the driving direction of the wheel.
