  • Patent number: 11226375
Abstract: A method for determining an impedance of an electrically conducting device, such as a battery or a welded metal joint, includes applying a time-varying electric current to the electrically conducting device. The current varies at least between a first level and a second level. The current changes between the first level and second level within a time interval that is so short that a voltage response of the electrically conducting device exhibits a first local voltage extremum followed by a decay. An ohmic resistance voltage is adopted by the voltage response, when the first local voltage extremum has decayed. The method further includes acquiring the voltage response at least partially and determining an impedance of the electrically conducting device from the acquired voltage response.

  • Patent number: 9266500
Abstract: A method and an evaluation system supervise correct belt utilization of at least one safety belt in a motor vehicle, the open and/or closed belt lock state being supervised at the respective belt lock of a vehicle seat occupied by a person and a warning signal being given and/or the safety system of the motor vehicle being influenced if an unclosed belt lock is detected. • Publication number: 20090121670
Abstract: The present invention refers to a soft-starter having a new constructive arrangement comprising SCRs and a by-pass contactor connected through busbars that also provide an external connection to the soft-starter. The SCRs (10) and the contacts (30, 31) of the by-pass contactor are positioned next to the heatsinks (201, 202, 203), which by their turn are interconnected to each other by a busbar (41) and connected to the supply network by a busbar (401) and to the motor by a busbar (402), the contacts (30, 31) of the by-pass contactor being set in motion by a coil (35) activated by an electrical current.

  • Patent number: 6850034
Abstract: A circuit configuration for monitoring the state of charge of an accumulator battery, which is installed in particular in a motor vehicle, has a control unit that records and evaluates the flow of current out of or into the accumulator battery. The control unit is able to be shifted into a state with low current consumption (sleep mode), out of which it may be brought again by an activation signal. Moreover, a sensor is provided that emits a signal in response to a flow of current out of or into the accumulator battery.

  • Patent number: 6768915
Abstract: In a method for the operation of a magnetic resonance apparatus, a prescribable event that can trigger a neural activity of an examination subject is initiated, the implementation of the event and the readiness of the examination subject to perceive the event that triggers the neural activity are monitored, and given a positive result of the monitoring, an image dataset of a region of the examination subject to be imaged, and to which the event can be allocated, is registered.
