  • Patent number: 11906239
Abstract: A refrigerator appliance includes a cabinet that defines an opening with a plurality of racks mounted in the cabinet. A door is mounted to the cabinet at the opening. A divider is configured to separate the cabinet into a first cabinet portion and a second cabinet portion. The divider includes an insulation block with a top cover mounted to the insulation block. The top cover includes a top foil heater. Also included in the divider is a bottom cover mounted to the insulation block. The bottom cover includes a bottom foil heater. A plastic extrusion is mounted to a side of the insulation block, and the top cover and the bottom cover include a forming on at least two sides. The forming of the top and bottom covers engages with the plastic extrusion.

  • Patent number: 11796242
Abstract: A refrigeration appliance includes a cabinet having a plurality of walls that define a chilled chamber, a door attached to the cabinet to selectively restrict access to the chilled chamber, a cooling system for providing cool air to the chilled chamber via a duct extending through a wall of the plurality of walls of the chilled chamber, and at least one air vent positioned at an end of the duct. Further, the air vent(s) is mounted to the wall. Moreover, the air vent(s) has a body defining an opening through which the cool air exits during operation of the refrigeration appliance. The body of the air vent(s) further defines an outer perimeter having at least one discontinuity that creates at least one airflow passage between the body and the wall to reduce moisture in the chilled chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220154999
Abstract: A refrigerator appliance includes a cabinet that defines a food storage chamber. An evaporator is in fluid communication with the food storage chamber such that cool dry air flows from the evaporator to the food storage chamber and warm humid air flows to the evaporator from the food storage chamber. The refrigerator appliance also includes a meltwater conduit in fluid communication with the evaporator downstream of the evaporator such that the meltwater conduit receives a flow of meltwater from the evaporator. An auxiliary evaporation tray is immediately downstream of the meltwater conduit such that the auxiliary evaporation tray receives the flow of meltwater directly from the meltwater conduit. A primary evaporation tray is downstream of the auxiliary evaporation tray.

  • Patent number: 10374210
Abstract: An electrochemical cell includes a prismatic cell housing including a lid plate that closes one end of the housing. The cell also includes a terminal assembly having a simple structure that is supported on the lid plate. The terminal assembly includes the lid plate, a terminal and an adhesive layer that is disposed between and secures the terminal to the lid plate. The terminal assembly includes features that allow the adhesive layer to flow in a controlled and reproducible manner over the entirety of a predetermined area without flowing beyond the predetermined area. The features result from forming a stop line in the predetermined area by applying a surface treatment to the predetermined area. The stop line delineates a desired adhesive later outer boundary and engages the adhesive so as to maintain the adhesive within the predetermined area.
