  • Publication number: 20250030237
Abstract: Apparatuses including spark gap structures for electrical overstress (EOS) monitoring or protection, and associated methods, are disclosed. In an aspect, a vertical spark gap device includes a substrate having a horizontal main surface and a plurality of pairs of conductive layers over the horizontal main surface. Different ones of the pairs are separated by different vertical distances such that each pair serves as an arcing electrode pair and different ones of the arcing electrode pairs are configured to arc discharge at different voltages.

  • Patent number: 11771574
Abstract: An example medical device is disclosed. An example medical device includes an expandable stent. The stent includes a tubular scaffold formed of one or more interwoven filament. The tubular scaffold includes an inner surface and a flexible valve extending radially inward from the inner surface of the scaffold. Further, the valve is configured to shift between a closed configuration and an open configuration and the one or more filaments of the scaffold bias the valve to the closed configuration while in a nominally deployed state.

Date of Patent: October 3, 2023
    Assignee: BOSTON SCIENTIFIC SCIMED, INC.

  • Publication number: 20110295613
Abstract: A method for admitting a patient includes creating an inpatient value set by collecting a respective value for each of a plurality of datapoints about the patient. The inpatient value set can then be compared with an historical dataset, the dataset representing a plurality of other patients each having a respective corresponding value set for the plurality of datapoints associated with a respective set of utilization management information. Based on the comparison, a particular set of utilization management information that is associated with a particular corresponding value set which is substantially the same as the inpatient value set is identified within the historical dataset. Ultimately, based on the particular set of utilization management information, a predicted length of stay for the patient is calculated.
