  • Publication number: 20230226828
Abstract: An inkjet printing method on a continuous substrate web (100), having a pair of edges (1011, 1021), comprising the steps: a) forming a pair of elongated strips (101, 102) by bending said substrate web (100) along a pair of lines (1010, 1020) wherein each line is parallel to the pair of edges (1011, 1021); and b) supporting said bent substrate web in a support zone (201) of a printer 200) wherein said pair of elongated strips (101, 102) are oriented below said zone (201); and printing an image (500) on said supported substrate web by an inkjet-printhead (202) of said printer (200).

  • Publication number: 20070279453
Abstract: A nozzle plate is affixed to an inkjet printhead body by application of a first adhesive bonding step that hydraulically seals the ink chambers to the nozzle plate, followed by a second adhesive bonding step that strengthens the junction between the printhead body and the nozzle plate. The second adhesive bond may be created by capillary propagation of the second adhesive along the junction. The nozzle plate affixing method enhances the mechanical resistance of nozzle plates against peeling from the printhead body by the influence of wiper blades onto the nozzle plate during wiping.

  • Patent number: 5965331
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for bringing a thermographic imaging element (11) to a desired temperature by means of thermal contact with a heating body (10, 30) which is at least filled with an accessory material in a first phase (15) and with said accessory material in a second phase (16) comprise pressure setting means (17, 18) for setting a desired pressure, energy means (19) for exchanging thermal energy with said heating body, detection means for detecting a phase or a phase transition of said accessory material, and relocation means for bringing said imaging element into contact with said heating body.

  • Patent number: 5656127
Abstract: Device for initiating the delamination of two sheets laminated together and arranged for forming a practicable image in one of the sheets, wherein the sheets are laminated with the leading edge of one sheet extending beyond the leading edge of the other sheet, and means are provided for positioning the laminate and clamping same in one particular position while leaving the leading edges of the laminate free, for bending off the free leading edges on a well-specified corner thereby initiating the delamination, for scraping one sheet from the other sheet, and for clamping the scraped-off sheet.
