Patent number: 8335208Abstract: A method for measuring a load capacity in a management system comprises: receiving an indication of a number of data connections through an input; and computing a current load capacity by multiplying the number of data connections with a time period during which the current load capacity is to be computed. A system for carrying out the method comprises an input for receiving the indication and a processor for computing the current load capacity by multiplying the number of data connections with the time period.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2009Date of Patent: December 18, 2012Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson (Publ)Inventor: Martin Denis

Publication number: 20110068620Abstract: Wear protectors for protecting guide and/or drive lugs of an endless track for traction of an off-road vehicle. Each wear protector comprises a cover shaped to cover at least part of a periphery of a lug. A fastener may be used to fasten the cover to the lug. The cover may comprise an aperture for admitting the fastener such that the fastener extends inside the lug and is capable of being put in a state of tension, allowing elastomeric material of the lug to be in a state of compression. The cover may comprise a pair of covering members separate from one another and respectively covering at least part of opposite surfaces of the lug. The fastener may extend through the lug and interconnect the covering members.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2009Publication date: March 24, 2011Inventors: Marc Delisle, Martin Denis

Publication number: 20080059591Abstract: A messaging node, a memory, and methods for optimised message counting are provided. A data structure is held in a memory such as a RAM, and as messages are received in the node, they are assigned an expiry time and a state. Upon receipt of such message, a variation associated with the state and the expiry time is incremented to show that the message is in the new state. As a message changes to a new state, the variation associated with the original state is decremented, while the one associated with the new state is increment ed. Periodically, the content of the RAM data structure is moved to a file of the file system, thus providing for the construction of a file storing a sequence of variations, for each state, and associated with various time expires. The content of the file can be read by taking into account only entries which expiry time has not yet expired, and the variations stored therein may be added, for each state and for each expiry time, to get a full count of the messages of the system.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2006Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventor: Martin Denis

Publication number: 20070265976Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a server and a license manager for distributing licenses for software applications in a packet data network having one or more active servers. The number of licenses distributed from the server decreases when the number of active servers increases and further the number of licenses distributed from the server increases when the number of active servers decreases. The licenses to be issued are installed on the license manager and are further requested by the server. A request for licenses from the server to the license manager is based on a determination from the server of the number of active servers in the packet data network and the number of installed licenses at the license manager.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2006Publication date: November 15, 2007Inventors: Peter Helfer, Jim Dumont, Martin Denis

Publication number: 20070256075Abstract: A memory, system and method for task scheduling and execution, the memory containing a data structure including a scheduling file containing tasks scheduled for execution, and a cancelling file containing references to tasks which execution is cancelled. A scheduler module reads the scheduled tasks of the scheduling file and the cancelled tasks of the cancelling file, and triggers execution of the scheduled tasks not referenced in the cancelling file. The data structure may comprise a plurality of pairs of scheduling and cancelling files, each pair being associated with a time interval. When the scheduler module receives from an application module a task scheduling request for scheduling a task, it writes the task in the task scheduling file. When the scheduler module further receives a task cancelling request for cancelling of the task, it writes the task in the task cancelling file.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2006Publication date: November 1, 2007Inventor: Martin Denis

Patent number: 5846767Abstract: A method for the expression of multiple proteins in a transgenic plant comprising inserting into the genome of the plant a gene construct comprising a 5'-region which includes a promoter which is capable of initiating transcription of a structural gene under the control thereof, a protein encoding sequence coding for more than one protein and a 3'-terminator region which includes a polyadenylation signal, each of the protein encoding sequences being separated from an adjacent protein encoding sequence by a DNA sequence which on translation provides a cleavage site whereby the expressed polyprotein is post-translationally processed into the component protein molecules. The DNA sequence which encodes the post-translation cleavage site may be derived from a virus, particularly a picornavirus. In a preferred embodiment the DNA sequence providing the cleavage site encodes the amino acid sequence NFDLLKLAGDVESNPGPFF.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 1996Date of Patent: December 8, 1998Assignee: Zeneca LimitedInventors: Claire Halpin, Martin Denis Ryan
