  • Publication number: 20120231906
Abstract: A game device (1) comprises a ball (2) and twelve indicators (3). Each indicator (3) comprises a suction cavity (4) and a release ring (5). Each indicator (3) may be releasably attached by suction to the ball (2) by manipulating the suction cavity (4) of the indicator (3) to create a suction force between the indicator (3) and the ball (2). The release ring (5) protrudes from the ball (2) substantially perpendicular to an external surface of the ball (2). Upon an impact to the release ring (5), for example a user kicking the device (1), the release ring (5) acts to release the suction attachment force between the indicator (3) and the ball (2). The indicator (3) thus becomes detached from the ball (2). By detaching the indicator (3) from the ball (2), the indicator (3) acts to indicate the region of the impact to the game device (1).

  • Patent number: 6516506
Abstract: A scrolled resilient sheet is installed against the inner surface of a fluid conduit using a carrier tool from which a resilient sheet having an average thickness more than 2 mm and an elastic or pseudoelastic recoverable strain of at least 0.6% is released so that the sheet expands with an expansion force which is sufficiently high to allow the sheet to press itself into place alongside the inner surface of the conduit and to remain in place after installation.

  • Publication number: 20030009437
Abstract: A computer program and method are disclosed for matching a potential positionee and potential positionor. The potential positionee is provided with a positionee information entry interface for entering positionee information comprising the potential positionee's actual qualifications. The positionee information is stored in a database. Matching is accomplished by providing the potential positionor with a positionor information entry interface for electronically entering positionor information comprising at least one target qualification for a position, the positionor information being stored in the database. Matching is based on determining whether the positionee information correlates with the positionor information. A correlated information list is created. The correlated information is presented for review. Code sections of the computer program preferably accomplish these and other tasks.

  • Patent number: 6315040
Abstract: An expandable well screen for preventing migration of sand or other solid particles into a hydrocarbon fluid production well comprises a number of filter sheets with circumferential slots, which sheets are secured in an iris-shaped configuration and co-axial to an expandable slotted carrier tube such that as result of expansion of the tube the amount of overlap between adjacent filter sheets is reduced. The circumferential slot pattern of the slots enables the filter sheets to slide easily relative to each other and to avoid buckling and/or tearing of the filter sheets during the expansion process.

  • Patent number: 6012522
Abstract: A deformable well screen for preventing migration of solid particles into a hydrocarbon production well is disclosed, the screen including at least one substantially tubular filter layer of which the sieve opening size remains fairly constant during or after expansion and/or other deformation of the screen. Optionally the screen also includes a series of circumferentially scaled filter segments that are arranged around an expandable slotted tube, an expandable slotted tube of which the slots are filled with resin coated granules, an expandable slotted tube with micro-slots, an assembly of woven metal wire screens that are sintered together and/or a synthetic geotextile fabric.

  • Patent number: 5348095
Abstract: A method of creating a wellbore in an underground formation is provided. A borehole is drilled in the underground formation, whereafter a casing of a ductile material is lowered into the borehole. The casing is selected to have a smaller elastic radial deformation than the surrounding formation when the casing is radially expanded against the borehole wall by application of a radial force to the casing. Said radial force is applied to the casing so as to radially expand the casing against the borehole wall thereby inducing a plastic radial deformation of the casing and an elastic radial deformation of the surrounding underground formation, whereafter the radial force is removed from the casing.

  • Patent number: 4172111
Abstract: A compact in the form of a strip is manufactured from metal powder by introducing the powder into the gap between a pair of rotatable rolls. The compact so formed has unwanted longitudinally extending edge portions and these portions are removed by reducing them to powder to substantially the same particle size as that of the powder from which the compact is formed. The portions are conveniently reduced to powder by engaging them with rotary members in the form of cutters which impact the compact and break off individual particles. The powder may be recycled into the roll gap either directly or after further treatment which does not include comminution of the powder.
