Publication number: 20240344521Abstract: A method for identifying a fault in an impeller blockage in a centrifugal pump includes a determining step and a calculating step. The determining step includes determining the fault frequency fr,pump of at least one fault-indicating harmonic of a motor current on the basis of a fault model, wherein the centrifugal pump has a three-phase drive motor. The calculating step includes calculating a harmonic amplitude îf of the motor current for the at least one determined fault frequency fr,pump by transforming the three-phase motor current into a dq current coordinate system that contains currents id and iq and rotates at the fault frequency fr,pump. A geometric sum of direct components of the currents id and iq in the dq current coordinate system corresponds to the harmonic amplitude îf.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2022Publication date: October 17, 2024Inventors: Vincent BECKER, Martin ECKL, Benedikt MUELLER, Sven URSCHEL, Jochen SCHAAB

Patent number: 11703057Abstract: A method for controlling a machine with at least one inverter-operated electric drive unit includes determining the instantaneous mains frequency of the mains supply to the machine and a deviation of the determined mains frequency over a standard frequency of the mains supply, determining a frequency correction value for adjusting the target drive frequency at which the electric motor of the machine is operated by weighting the deviation with a factor k, the factor k being specified dynamically as a function of at least one process variable of the drive load and/or of the operated drive process, and operating the machine at the adjusted target frequency.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2019Date of Patent: July 18, 2023Assignee: KSB SE & Co. KGaAInventors: Martin Eckl, Jochen Schaab, Joachim Schullerer

Publication number: 20220186749Abstract: A method for preventing or reducing mechanical vibrations of a pump, in particular a centrifugal pump, during pump operation is provided. A pump controller detects at least one signal of a pump operation parameter and identifies signal fluctuations in order to detect mechanical vibrations occurring in the pump. The pump controller controls the frequency converter to modify the pump speed in order to reduce a detected pump vibration.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2020Publication date: June 16, 2022Inventors: Martin ECKL, Joachim SCHULLERER

Patent number: 10759150Abstract: A waterproof membrane is described that includes a barrier layer and a functional layer. The functional layer can include a thermoplastic polymer that changes consistency under the influence of highly alkaline media, and an adhesive. The production and use of the membrane are also described. The functional layer of the membrane can be designed in the form of a film, a coating, or a nonwoven fabric. The fibers in the fabric can include a hard core that is surrounded by a polymer layer, is inert prior to coming into contact with liquid concrete and acts as a protective layer. Thus, the membrane is protected from premature aging and allows work to be performed with the seal in place. During the concreting process, i.e. when the functional layer comes into contact with liquid concrete, the polymer dissolves and thus allows the adhesive to bond to the concrete. The functional layer thus acts as an adhesive sealing compound and the seal is leakproof.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2013Date of Patent: September 1, 2020Assignee: SIKA TECHNOLOGY AGInventors: Gustl Knebel, Martin Eckl
