  • Patent number: 10434994
Abstract: A method for preventing undesired movements of a motor vehicle combination (100) including a tractor vehicle (110) and a towed vehicle (112), where the tractor vehicle (110) has a parking brake system (280), the vehicle combination (100) has at least one electronically activable service brake system (270; 275) and is provided with movement detectors (210, 220, 230, 240, 250) and the parking brake system (280) is activated during desired standstills of the vehicle combination (100). The method includes the steps of:—continuously detecting (s320) movements of the vehicle combination (100) relative to a running surface on which the vehicle combination (100) is at the time; and—responding to detected movements of the vehicle combination by automatically activating (s330) service brake action of the electronically activable service brake system (270; 275). Also, a computer program product has program code (P) for implementing the method.

  • Patent number: 10239504
Abstract: A method pertaining to braking of a vehicle combination (100) which combination comprises a tractor vehicle (110) with a towed vehicle (112), where both are configured to be braked. The tractor vehicle (110) is provided with a first control unit (200) having a function for regulation of coupling force between the tractor vehicle (110) and the towed vehicle (112). Regulation of coupling force includes adaptation data and the towed vehicle bears an ID specification. The method includes the steps of: transferring the ID specification from the towed vehicle (112) to the tractor vehicle (110); during a braking process, registering adaptation data associated with the braking process together with the ID specification. Also a computer program product includes program code (P) for a computer (200; 205) for implementing the method. Also a system pertaining to braking of a vehicle combination (100) and to a vehicle combination (100) is equipped with the system.

  • Publication number: 20150291155
Abstract: A method for improvement of safety when driving a vehicle includes the steps to: continuously (s410) establish a measure of instability relating to the vehicle; continuously provide (s420) the measure of instability within a communications network internal to the vehicle (L230, L240), to which network at least one vehicle braking function's control device (240a; 240b; 240c; 240d) is connected; and continuously establish the measure of instability based on a difference between an expected propulsion and an actual propulsion. Also, a computer program product with program code (P) for a computer (200; 210) to implement the method. Also, a device (298, 299) for improving safety when driving a vehicle and a motor vehicle (100) equipped with such a device.
