  • Patent number: 11930071
Abstract: Provided is a network adapter for unidirectional transmission of a user data stream to a bidirectional network interface, the network adapter including: a first connection unit which is physically connected to a bidirectional network interface of a first device; a second connection unit which is physically connected to a bidirectional network interface of a second device; and a terminating unit which has at least one bit transmission module and which is designed to establish a bidirectional data link to the network interface of the first device, to receive the user data stream from the first device exclusively in a unidirectional fashion via the data link, and not to send a user data stream to the first device.

  • Patent number: 11912408
Abstract: In various embodiments, specialized vehicle launch systems and methods are provided to enable personnel to launch and operate one or more UAVs from the safety of a vehicle or other mobile location. In various embodiments, a launch system comprises a launch device and an operator terminal. The launch device is adapted to be mounted on an exterior surface of a vehicle and is communicably coupled to the operator terminal, which is operable from the interior of the vehicle. The vehicle launch system allows an operator to control one or more UAVs from inside the vehicle, without requiring the operator to step outside of the vehicle to interact with the UAV or launch device.

  • Patent number: 9702789
Abstract: The present invention comprises apparatus and methods for testing a tire on a wheel. Particular embodiments of such methods include providing a tire testing surface upon which the tire is to operate and a tire having a radially outer annular side including a road-engaging surface. The methods further include engaging forcefully a radially outer annular side of the tire with the tire testing surface to create a footprint constituting an area of contact between the tire and the tire testing surface, the footprint having a width extending in an axial direction of the tire. The tire is then rotated while engaged with the tire testing surface according to the prior step and a particulate is discharged from a particulate discharge outlet of a particular discharging device, the outlet having a length extending at least substantially across the width of the footprint.

  • Patent number: 6598448
Abstract: A cooling and lubricating device for rollers of a cold rolling mill with one or more roll stands for controlling strip tensile stress of the strip across the width by changing the effective roll barrel diameter and/or the roller lubrication with a controlled supply of rolling oil or emulsions. The supply is pressure-, quantity-, and/or temperature-controlled. Several nozzle beams are provided and assigned to individual rollers, respectively. The nozzle beams are connected to side shields of the roll housing. Spray nozzles are mounted in the nozzle beams and distributed across the entire roller width. The nozzle beams are moveable independently relative to the rollers transverse to the strip running direction and in planes parallel to the strip plane. Rotary and linear drives are connected to the nozzle beams for rotating the nozzle beams about the longitudinal axis and for moving them in the longitudinal direction.
