  • Publication number: 20230371629
Abstract: There is provided a reinforcement material for a garment, the garment having at least one region exposed to external mechanical forces. The reinforcement material includes a piece of fabric, the piece of fabric including a plurality of micrometric pores distributed among a surface of the piece of fabric. The micrometric pores are sized, positioned and oriented to allow a passage of at least one of: heat, moisture, vapors and water therethrough. The piece of fabric has abrasion resistance properties and breathability properties and is configured to be affixed to the garment in the region(s) exposed to the external mechanical forces, thereby enhancing the mechanical resistance of the garment without significantly affecting breathability properties of the garment, when the piece of fabric is affixed to the garment.

  • Patent number: 9069906
Abstract: A method is provided for interfacing a plurality of processing components with a shared resource. A token signal path is provided to allow propagation of a token through the processing components, wherein possession of the token enables a processing component to conduct a transaction with the shared resource. Token processing logic is provided for propagating the token from one processing component to another along the token signal path, the propagating being done at a propagation rate related to a transaction rate of the shared resource. The token processing logic also generates a trigger signal at least in part based on the token and propagates to trigger signal to the shared resource to convey initiation of a transaction with the shared resource. A circuit comprising a plurality of processing components and a shared resource is provided wherein the processing components and the shared resource interface with one another using the method proposed.

  • Patent number: 8689218
Abstract: A method is provided for interfacing a plurality of processing components with a shared resource component. A token signal path is provided to allow propagation of a token through the processing components, wherein possession of the token by a given processing component enables the latter to conduct a transaction with the shared resource component. Token processing logic is also provided for propagating the token from one processing component to another along the token signal path, the propagating being done at a propagation rate that is related to a transaction rate associated with the shared resource component. A circuit comprising a plurality of processing components and a shared resource component is provided wherein the plurality processing components and the shared resource components are interfaced with one another using the method proposed.

  • Publication number: 20130323506
Abstract: The present application relates to a fiber having an elongated body defining a longitudinal axis and at least one cavity. The cavity is positioned symmetrically with respect to a plane containing the longitudinal axis. In addition, an insulating gas, less thermally conductive than air, is trapped in the cavity.

  • Patent number: 8318615
Abstract: A launderable and reusable, leak-proof, breathable fabric and, more specifically, a composite fabric comprised of a liquid absorptive layer and a liquid impervious but vapor permeable layer. Such fabric is useful in drawing fluids, such as bodily fluids, away from a source, such as the body, and retaining them within the absorptive layer while evaporation thereof takes place though the vapor permeable layer. This material consists of two juxtaposed layers. The inner layer has the characteristic of being liquid permeable so as to allow the body fluids to flow into it and be absorbed. The outer layer has the characteristic of being liquid impermeable but air or vapor permeable, so that the liquid absorbed in the inner layer does not strike through the outer layer.

  • Patent number: 8130019
Abstract: A method is provided for propagating clock signals in a circuit segment having a first clocked device, a second clocked device and a data path between the first clocked device and the second clocked device. The data path propagates data released by the first clocked device to the second clocked device and is associated with a data propagation delay. The method comprises providing a clock propagation path for propagating clock signals to the first clocked device and the second clocked device, wherein the clock signal propagated to the second clocked device is delayed from the clock signal propagated to the first clocked device by a clock delay interval, the clock delay interval being related to the data propagation delay of the data path. A circuit segment making use of the above method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20110138156
Abstract: A method and associated processor suitable for executing machine instructions for evaluating a logical expression are provided. The approach suggested makes use of a memory and an extended set of instructions. The memory, which can be embodied in a general purpose register for example, is for storing information related to an intermediate results obtained in evaluating the logical expression as well as a nesting level of sub-expressions in the logical expression being evaluated. The extended set of instruction allows for initializing and updating the information in that memory. A processor for executing the extended set of instruction is also provided along with a process for generating machine code making use of this extended set of instructions for evaluating a logical expression.
