Abstract: Biochemical signals originating at sites of focal adhesions between muscle fibers are functionally involved in the mechano-dependent governance of muscle gene expression. Herein included information describes a methodology to promote improvements of motor function by combining contraction-related and pharmacological interventions which stimulate focal adhesion signaling and a diagnostic use to identify the responsiveness to treatment of a subject.
